No matter if I’m wanting a matte looking lip or something glossy I always start off with a long-lasting liquid lip color. This ensures that even if the shade fades and/or the gloss wears off I still have at the very least a tint of something extra. Recently Flower Beauty has hit ULTA (FINALLY!) and with it 12 shades of Miracle Matte Liquid Lip Color ($9.99).
what is it
The Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Liquid Lip Color is said to have a water-based formula and be a soft, non-drying and comfortable matte lip that wears all day long. The “smoothing complex” is in place to give lips a creaseless, seamless look while lips appear softer and smoother due to a blurring effect that creates a fuller look.
review
I’ve tried all of the shades in the Flower Beauty Miracle Matte Liquid Lip Color line and almost across the board they all had smooth, even pigment. Two shades that I had issue with applying were Fig Frenzy and Melon Pop. They were next to impossible to get evenly opaque but if you love the shades I think they’d do well over a coordinating liner. I love the sponge-tipped paddle shaped applicator, it holds enough product to coat both lips and I didn’t feel like I was going to go out of the lines easily.
Formula wise the Miracle Mattes have a mousse-like texture, similar to that of the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Color. As stated they’re comfortable to wear, feel soft and are non-drying. I don’t find them to be particularly matte but more of a satin gloss finish.
For me they did not last all day. They had good wear time if I wasn’t doing any heavy drinking or eating but still need touched up and in some cases reapplied. The darker shades do leave a slight tint but I found myself still touching up after eating. It seems some people have better luck with longevity so this feature will depend on the person doing wearing. I’m someone who constantly has to apply lip balms and I do exfoliate my lips regularly.

I love the color of the Bare Honey! Never tried any products from this brand. But I might have to buy the bare honey now. Lol
