Color me shocked. Could this be? A matte liquid lip shade that boasts full pigment, all-day wear and it’s hydrating? Those are the claims of the brand new Pixi Beauty MatteLast Liquid Lip ($14.00).
what is it
In addition to being long-wearing, pigmented and comfortable the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip formula is also said to set quickly to a matte veil finish with colors that are universally flattering and wearable. The wand is the unique PixiPetal applicator which helps to apply the lip color evenly and smoothly in one stroke.
review
I’m not even going to waste your time. These are awesome. Every single one of them is awesome. Initially my biggest shock was how light they felt upon application and how little I had to tinker to get an even line while I was putting the shades on. The applicator is perfection and the formula spot on with the claims. On my first test I put the shade Really Rose on and 5 minutes later bit in to a huge hamburger. The product wasn’t transfer proof but the color stuck to my lips throughout eating that burger and for the rest of the evening. I gave the rest of the shades a spin throughout the next few days and was as equally impressed with the rest of them. I’ve been looking for a more affordable version of the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick nude shades and I think I’ve found it!
While these aren’t the most affordable drugstore liquid lip formula out there IMO they are definitely the most comfortable. And they’re definitely way less expensive than a lot of high-performing luxury shades on the market. If you’re looking to spend a little less or need more shades in your life some of the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Lipstick colors are good, but be warned some of those are major duds.
