As someone who suffers from sensitive, acne-prone skin I find that more often than not I’m susceptible to some redness on my cheeks. Because of this the new releases in the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness line of products (as is usual with all IT Cosmetics releases) had me singing, dancing and all around praising the heavens.
the products
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Skin Relief Treatment Moisturizer ($48.00). This moisturizer was developed to neutralize, soothe and transform the look of your skin by relieving redness. It’s formulated with anti-aging, skin-soothing colloidal oatmeal, aloe, cucumber, turmeric, collagen and peptides which are meant to deeply hydrate while smoothing the look of imperfections, discoloration, lines and wrinkles.
When I tried this out I didn’t actually expect to see any sort of instant result. I have some redness to my cheeks and when I dabbed this on there was a definite change in my skins appearance and texture. Redness was reduced enough to be noticeable but obviously not disappear entirely. My skin felt moisturized which in turn did reduce the appearance of fine lines and imperfections.
I think that if you suffer from sensitive skin and redness this would be an excellent skincare prep product to incorporate into your makeup routine. Personally, I’m loving it for that!
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream ($32.00). This cream is color-infused skincare with anti-aging peptides, colloidal oatmeal, hydrolyzed collagen, aloe and avocado that hydrates and calms the skin while also completely covering the look of redness. It’s touted as being a full-coverage formula that does not crease or crack.
I found that this cream had a decent amount of coverage – on me I thought it was medium, but buildable up to a medium-to-full coverage. It wore nicely through the day but I did find that because I’m so oily I needed a mattifying primer underneath (but that’s nothing new for me).
I do not like the packaging at all. It’s in a pot which I don’t mind for concealers and moisturizers but for a product that is touted as a full-coverage foundation this would not be my packaging of choice. To apply I dipped my finger in and dotted it around my face before buffing. They recommend the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush No. 7 with this product (it’s also one of my faves) but I personally did not like that one for this. Even with a light amount of product I saw brush strokes which required extra work. I ended up using my Sigma 3DHD which is my go-to for liquid foundation and it applied nicely with that.
The biggest downside to the Neutralizing Correcting Cream is the shade selection. It does say that the shades are “universal” and “perfect for all skin tones” but I’m not sure how. As of now there are only 3 shades available in Porcelain Beige, Light Beige and Neutral Beige – with Neutral Beige being the shade that matched me the best. BUT, originally there was only ONE shade, so I am happy to see they’re expanding on that and look forward to more options in the future!
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Powder ($38.00). This talc-free powder is said to provide the appearance of a flawless, even-toned complexion with buildable, tone-correcting FULL coverage that doesn’t settle into lines or wrinkles. It is infused with anti-aging colloidal oatmeal, aloe, cucumber, chamomile, avocado, chrysin, turmeric, collagen and peptides to instantly reduce the look of redness, rosacea, discoloration and any imperfections – perfect for sensitive skin.
This powder was my absolute favorite of the three products shown in this post. It’s like my favorite IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation with the coverage but amped up to also combat redness and reduce the look of pores (which I can never get enough of). Sorry Celebration Foundation, you’ve been replaced (but I still love you).
Again, a downside is the lack of shades. Only three are available in Porcelain Beige, Light Beige and Neutral Beige. This is such a fabulous product I do hope we see even more in the future!

This is a great post! I’ve always used CC+ Cream, but can’t wait to try this Bye Bye.

Thank you for writing such a sweet and informative beauty post. I will definitely follow your instructions. Also, what do you recommend for sun-screen?
Brooke says
Are you looking for sunscreen just for your face or for all over? For face I love The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Protect and Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer.

I have been wanting to try the Bye Bye redness correcting cream even though I don’t have much redness on my face. Now I am thinking if I should try the Bye Bye Redness powder? Even I have super oily skin. 🙂
Brooke says
My skin is also super oily and for me the powder is better than their Celebration Foundation that I’ve used for years. I think you’d like it!

Here’s what I can tell you as a woman of a certain age. This product is magic for me but it makes me all one color and doesn’t work well in summer. Fabulous in winter. Any tips?
Brooke says
I’m not sure what to recommend for Summer, maybe it’s too heavy of a product on you for that time? I think if you reach out to IT Cosmetics they’d be able to help you or recommend a product for the warmer months.
