Fall makeup is in the air and berry lip colors are a major trend right now! There seems to be a lot of high-end brands front and center for this juicy hue but I’m just not seeing much of the drugstore brands being shown around the interwebs. In this post I’m going to share with you my favorite berry-hued lip colors – ALL super affordable and currently available at the drugstore!
ELF Berry Kiss Tinted Lip Oil* ($6.00 // ELF). For when you want the trend but need the hydration, glossy effect and semi-sheer color. Berry Kiss Tinted Lip Oil feels comforting, looks fab and is totally in line with Fall.
Jesse’s Girl Angelic Matte Finish Lip Color* ($3.99 // Amazon). On the lighter side of the berry lip trend we have this not-talked-about-enough light mauve matte liquid lip color from Jesse’s Girl. The formula is super thin and glides on like a dream. It’s one of the most comfortable formulas I’ve tried and wears around 5 hours if you’re not eating something that your lips would rub down on (get your head out of the gutter, I mean like a sandwich).
L’OREAL Doesn’t MATTE-r Colour Riche Matte Lipcolour* ($8.99 // ULTA Beauty). I’m picky about actual lipsticks, which is why this is the only drugstore one living on this list. Doesn’t MATTE-r is copy and long-wearing, leaving a nice stain behind as it fades.
L’OREAL Sultry Sangria Infallible Lip Paints* ($9.99 // ULTA Beauty). Sultry Sangria is a vibrant, pigmented berry shade. A stunning medium-deep berry shade that is chic to wear for day or evening. Apply this with care and you’ll have an even, long-wearing lip color!
L’OREAL Statement Nude Infallible Pro Matte Gloss* ($10.99 // ULTA Beauty). A bold and comfortable matte lip color, Statement Nude is a muted mauve tone that is work-safe and also smoky-eye approved. Nicely pigmented, fab applicator & moisturizing.
Maybelline Slay It Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer* ($7.99 // ULTA Beauty). Slay It is a pigmented, opaque color with a high-gloss finish. It’ll last longer than a normal gloss and leaves a beautiful stain behind. This is what you wear when you’re serious about your deep berry color of choice.
Maybelline Voyager SuperStay Matte Ink* ($9.49 // ULTA Beauty). Super pigmented (in one pass), super matte and super long-lasting. The formula is a little sticky but it’s not going to budge. A deep raisin-berry shade, Voyager is your chic AF evening must-have.
Neutrogena Rich Raisin MoistureSmooth Color Stick ($8.99 // ULTA Beauty). One of my favorite, easy to use lip products from way back. Rich Raisin is actual berry stained perfection on your lips. Easy to apply, super comfortable and completely chic. The way it operates you’d never know it cost under $9.
NYX Brilliant Luv Out Loud Liquid Lipstick* ($6.99 // ULTA Beauty). To my knowledge this is the ONLY product I have on this list that’s labeled as limited edition, but I just had to include it. It’s comfy and wears nicely (easily opaque in one coat). It’s not transfer proof but when it comes to longevity it does well, only completely removing if you’re eating a meal. You need to wear with caution, though. If this does happen to transfer onto something you’ll have a heck of a time getting it off.
Pixi Beauty BerryTint/SweetGloss GelTint & SilkGloss* ($12.00 // Target). This double-sided lip gem features both a berry stain and a light mauve gloss. Long-lasting, hydrating… perfection.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Color* ($5.49 // ULTA Beauty). Two shades in the lineup fit this trend the best – 820 Heartbeat and 810 Plum This Show. This formula is long lasting, feels great and the shades are a perfect fit for Fall trends.
Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick ($4.99 // ULTA Beauty). Two shades fall into my berry, berry favorites – Give Me Mocha and Berry Recognize. Each Liquid Catsuit has a different wear time but Give Me Mocha and Berry Recognize are two of the best of the bunch. (full review here)
Of course there are many more shades of berry lip colors that are in line with this trend, but these are just the few that I’ve had the pleasure of recently trying out myself. Let me know your favorites in the comments below!

I have a few of these. You’ve reminded me to get out my berry lippies. It’s still in the upper 90’s here so I’m not into fall yet.

My favorite is the Jesse’s Girl Angelic Matte Liquid Lipstick. I can’t wear almost any liquid matte except this one, and I love the shade.

I think I must be the only person the Maybelline Matte Ink doesn’t work for, lol! It doesn’t stay on more than a couple hours for me. Not sure what I’m doing wrong!

Maybe it’s a particular color? What shades have you tried? I haven’t tried all of the ones I have here yet but across the board with brands I have some from the same line that work and some that don’t. I did a post on all of the WnW Liquid Catsuit and they varied. A few were AMAZING but some were completely terrible.

So many pretty shades. I would prefer a more sheer berry lip product. I don’t wear a lipstick day to day at work. I’m really looking forward to fall.

Me too! All makeup is fun and beautiful (for the most part, lmao) but Fall makeup is always stunning to me.
