Since IT Cosmetics discontinued my holy grail eyebrow pencil (yes that post is from 2013 because that’s how long I used that love for!) I’ve been on the hunt for something new to invest my whole heart into (because that’s just how I do it with my brows). I have pencils I like, but none that I loved like the one that I lost. They’ve been out awhile but I finally gave Benefit Brow Products a go and fell in like with all and in LOVE with one!
How to Use Benefit Brow Products
My first purchase from the Benefit Brow line was the Goof Proof Brow Pencil. I bought it by mistake… I’d actually been aiming to pick up the Precisely, My Brow Pencil that I’d been playing with in store. Once I got home I figured it is what it is and I wasn’t hauling back to the store anytime soon… might as well use it. Surprise, I ended up REALLY liking it!
Fast forward to a few months later and a package landed on my doorstep with all of the Benefit Brow products in my shade (which is shade 03) along with info on their latest contest. For someone looking for their HG brow replacement, this was heaven in a box. I set to work trying out everything and not only found a new HG pencil but also a new brow routine that puts my last one to shame.
How to Use Benefit Brow Products
First I start out with brushing Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel in shade 03 through my brows. Doing this first keeps me from over-filling in my brows making the end result much more natural. The tinted gel accentuates the very light baby hairs that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to see.
Next I go in with my new love (and please don’t ever leave me) Precisely, My Brow Pencil in shade 03. This pencil makes application quick, painless and accurate. Once it’s on it doesn’t budge. I’m very oily, so that is super important to me.
To finish off my brows I added in something new – 3D BROWtones Instant Color Highlights in shade 02. Highlights on the brows just sounds so ridiculous but it gives my brows a more 3D look that not only makes them appear like they’re fuller but matches them up better with my highlighted hair color. It also keeps everything in place throughout the day.
As for the other brow products from Benefit I was really impressed with everything. I actually didn’t have a good experience before with their brow powder and wax and I even liked the new Brow Zings Tame & Shape Kit. It’s got the little travel friendly tools you need and the products worked out much better on my brows than before.
In regards to the ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color know that I’m weird about products like this and am generally really skeptical about trying them. For some reason when I open them they last maybe 2 weeks and the formula gets weird and difficult for me to work with. I haven’t had this issue at all with ka-BROW! and, even more impressive, while it’s a cream product it still applies to my brows in a natural and not over-done way. I don’t know how they pulled that one off, but I’m loving it and it will forever be my cream brow product of choice.
Benefit Brow products arrived just when I needed them the most and I’m really happy it wasn’t too difficult to replace a lost beauty love.

I think brows is one of Benefit’s strong points. I’ll have to check out the pencil you love when I get to Ulta next. I’m with you on Ka-Brow since those products seem to dry out quickly.

Your brows and your entire look are gorgeous! I have never tried Benefit brow products though I’ve heard other raves like yours. Because I wear bangs, I don’t do my brows all that often but I know I should. I’ll check to see what they have for redheads!

It’s a fabulous product! I always run into pencils being way too waxy, which is why I loved the IT so much. I died when they removed it from their line. Benefit is fantastic. Not too waxy but gets the job done perfectly!
You have beautiful eyes! Want to try the 3D Brow Tones, I only have Gimme Brow and Ready Set Brow Gel. Both great but I think the Precisely My Brow and Ka-brow are the standouts from their range so need to try those and the 3D Brow Tones of course, Great post and lovely photos.
