Skincare is such a journey. A journey that will never, ever end. Every few years your skin will change and as you get older it’ll become more and more noticeable. What worked for you when you were in your teens won’t work in your 20’s. What worked in your 20’s won’t work in your 30’s… etc.
One of the lines from Paula’s Choice that I like the most for my oily, acne-prone skin is the CLEAR line. It’s gentle on my skin (which can be sensitive) and helps me keep my breakouts under control. Because I’m such a fan of every Paula’s Choice product I’ve tried so far I wanted to give a few more items a go.
RESIST Smoothing Primer Serum SPF30
I’ve HAD to up my SPF game. Most of my current skincare faves do not contain SPF and that’s not a good thing. RESIST Smoothing Primer Serum SPF30 ($30.00) is anti-aging, targets fine lines and pores plus it improves and evens skin tone.
RADIANCE Renewal Mask
My skin has been dull and sad with this junk weather we’ve been having. RADIANCE Renewal Mask ($36.00) is anti-aging, skin-softening and hydrating. I love this right now because, though I’m early, my skin feels tight and dry from the winter temps. It’s also perfect for a lazy evening (let’s be honest, most of my evenings) when you want the effects of a mask but don’t want to get back up to rinse it off.
CLEAR Daily Skin Clearing Treatment
Of course I need to add more of the CLEAR line into my routine! CLEAR Daily Skin Clearing Treatment ($18.00) is good for all skin types to combat acne breakouts. Nowadays I tend to get those mostly on my chin and cheek areas. What I like is that it not only fights acne but prevents future breakouts without drying out your skin. Use this lotion on the affected area after you cleanse.
I have a lot of texture on my skin as well as leftover acne scars. RESIST BHA9 ($43.00) is a salicylic acid treatment that visibly and quickly minimizes bumps, redness, and enlarged pores and refines and clarifies skin’s surface. After one use I did notice a slight difference and I’m hoping with time this is the kick in the pants my skin needs!
Because I also like to be matte I decided to try out Shine Stopper ($24.00) to press onto my oiliest areas (t-zone). I put this over RESIST Smoothing Primer Serum SPF30. This is the first primer that’s worked as well as my HG and it’s also $13 cheaper!
Also how cute is this Gorgeous on the Go Makeup Collection?! It’s available too – both pieces in the set for only $45.
