You guys… this past month I’ve been eating my words. I recently said on my Facebook page that I’m over the highlighting trend. I mostly said this because I was so tired of seeing people over-highlight themselves. Since then there have been several gorgeous highlighter palettes released that have me drooling and, once again, applying highlighter. The NARS Banc de Sable Highlighter Palette ($49.00 // Sephora) is one of them.
The NARS Banc de Sable Highlighter Palette has three shades in Rivage (glistening pearl), Salé (shimmering peach champagne) and Embruns (metallic rose gold) and comes in beautiful rose gold packaging.
All three are able to be dusted on dry for an iridescent sheen or used wet for a more metallic look.
I love how pigmented and soft each shade was, even upon one pass. Because I’m not majorly into highlighting that’s all that’s necessary for me. Salé is the shade that matches up the best for my skintone for using on my cheeks, but I love to use Rivage for a brow highlight and Embruns as a gorgeous eyeshadow (it looks particularly stunning this way when used wet!).
Now…. am I still over over-highlighting? YES. Stop the madness. But a little pop of highlight I just can’t quit you!
