Before the shower… before the toothbrush… even before the first cup of coffee… when you need to walk out that front door and immerse yourself in with the general public… there are necessary shortcuts to looking/smelling/being semi-okay.

Full, TMI disclosure… in the morning I barely have time to get myself in gear and halfway presentable. Why? Because I need to get two adorable little creatures ready for school. Why? Um… for the greater good of knowledge, the law and also my sanity they need to be there.
What this means is that while getting them fed, washed up, brushed and clothed I’m also packing lunches, getting their coats and bookbags ready as well as making sure the dog gets fed and outside to do her business. This leaves about 5 minutes for me…maybe.

Here is my 5-step program for looking presentable at school drop-off:
Dove Advanced Care Deodorant. I can’t stand to smell myself and I doubt my kids or anyone else wants to deal with odor. If for some reason I have to step out of the car I can count on being fresh and my kids can count on a pleasant car ride to the school.
My current is the Dove Advanced Care Deodorant. It offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection plus added skincare benefits of Dove ¼ moisturizers and NutriumMoisture for softer, smoother underarms. Therefore, if I put it on the night before and forget/don’t have time to reapply in the AM that’s okay, because it’s still doing it’s job from the night before when I applied it after my shower.

Makeup Wipes. Do you have a little mascara left under the eyes? I usually do. Also I usually need to get all the oils and sleep dirt off of my face before slapping on the rest of my products. It does a nice job of waking me up a bit also.
Full Coverage Powder. I breakout. I have acne marks from past breakouts. I’m really self-conscious and it needs covered. A full coverage powder gets the job done to the point where even if I do need to step foot out of the comforts of my car I totally can and feel okay.
Lip Balm. Dry, cracked lips are a no. Not only do they feel awful they look awful. I keep lip balm all over the house as well as in coats and in the car. Just in case.
Sunglasses. No time for mascara? No problem. Sunglasses hide the not-so-designer bags, creases… leftover what-have-you.

Talk about your out-the-door beauty routine! This whole deal takes about 2 minutes and it’s really all you need when you’re simply dropping off some kids and heading back home. Then the real primping can begin!
