Winter Beauty Must-Haves are easy to think of. More moisture for your dry skin, a vampy lip, a mauvey cheek color with a bit of a shine… Finish it up with nail polish and you have yourself some winter beauty! Here are a few of my most recent finds!
Skincare
The Body Shop. I am completely obsessed with the Mega Body Butter ($20.00 // The Body Shop) at The Body Shop and possible even more so with this limited time offer! Right now the Mega Body Butter is only $20 (normally it’s $36) and you can get it personalized with any name! It’s the perfect gift!!!
Murad. The new Rapid Resurfacing Peel ($44.00 // Sephora) has been wonderful at battling my uneven skintone. This at-home peel uses a blend of 10 percent glycolic acid and vitamin C for radiant skin, which has also really helped with fading old acne marks.
ELF. They have skincare now! My absolute favorite is the Bubble Mask ($14.00 // Target). It feels so cool and makes my skin feel amazing… plus it’s MUCH cheaper than the pricier alternatives!
Derma E. I get quite a bit of Derma E sent to the house but one thing that has stood out to me that I’ve been using is the Skin, Hair and Nail Oil ($11.13 // Walmart). Just the tiniest bit has done wonders for my hands, cuticles and heels. I haven’t tried it on my hair yet but I imagine it’s just as fabulous there. 😉
Makeup
Pixi. The Pixi Holiday Line is out and I’m completely in love with what they’re bringing to the table this year. I featured three shots on my Instagram and also unboxed the day I got it on my stories. You can see swatches of the Metallic Warmth Fairy Dust Favorites here and swatches of the Necessary Neutrals Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit here.
The Ultimate Beauty Kit 3rd Edition ($34.00 // Target) is an all-in-one palette to complete your eye look as well as bronze, highlight and accent your cheeks. It’s got a ton of product but slim enough for holiday travel. Each year this is a huge customer fave and the colors in this are absolutely perfect if you need quick and easy day-to-night looks. It would also make the perfect gift for someone who is crazy into makeup OR if you have a young girl looking to start out.
Another big Pixi fave of mine is the Shea Butter Lip Balms ($8.00 // Target). I use Pixi Pink constantly but I do like to mix it up with the tinted colors also. Shown below is one of my top picks in Ripe Raspberry.
Butter London. The Lippy Liquid Lipsticks ($18.00 // ULTA Beauty) seem to have flown in under the radar. They’re not particularly long wearing but they go on seemingly like a gloss but wear like they’re a lustre lipstick. They’re slightly sticky but not so bad (no where near what a MAC lipglass would be). My favorites for Winter are Dahling (a creamy mauve) and La Moss (a tinted, deep berry). La Moss may look unnerving but I apply it to my bottom lip and press my lips together, then apply a bit more to the top lip and press my lips together again. It’s the perfect lip stain for the season and perfect for night OR day! A SURPRISE fave!
Nails
So many beautiful nail polish collections are out! As much as I love Fall colors, weather and makeup the Holiday lacquer collections always hold a special place in my heart. These are my top three for the season, all of which contain beautiful winter shades.
OPI. Breakfast at Tiffany’s ($10.00 // ULTA Beauty) is this years holiday launch and, yes, there are some perfect reds and vampy shades. BUT. In true OPI fashion there are some gorgeous glitters and the ever so popular Tiffany blue shade! The theme and color scheme make this one of my favorite OPI collections of the year!
Essie. This is one of my favorite Nail Polish brands from WAY back and their winter collection is so fierce. They’ve mixed in traditional deep tones with almost spring-like shades to bring together a collection of six polishes that are your cold weather essentials. I’m wearing Go With the Flowy as an accent nail here – but there’s no way to capture the beautiful, subtle shimmer that Essie is known for. You can buy them individually for $8.00 each here or pick up the Winter mini-kit for $18.00 here.
Zoya. Making jewel tones and pixidust beautiful since before I can even think. The Enchanted Collection for Holiday 2016 is no exception. If you like your fingers to feel royal you won’t be able to choose which one of these you like the most. Buy them on the Zoya website now for $10.00 each.
There you have it! My Winter Beauty Must-Haves! What are yours?
