The most recent addition to the MAC Viva Glam campaign is again a collab with music diva Ariana Grande – but if you didn’t like the shades from the first run you’ll be happy to know that these new shades are completely different. As always every cent from the selling price of MAC Viva Glam products goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
The packaging is standard for the MAC Viva Glam line in which it’s the black bullet/cap with the red flourishes & celeb signature.
VIVA GLAM Ariana Grande 2 Lipstick ($17.00 // Nordstrom). This lipstick is described as a deep cool pink, matte. It definitely has a violet look to it which initially made me feel like this wouldn’t work for me in any way, shape or form. BUT. Can you believe I love it? Even before I added a bit of gloss on top I was digging the shade for Fall. The matte formula from this lipstick was comfortable to wear, nicely pigmented and wore for 4 hours without heavy eating. It also left a slight stain behind which was nice for popping the coordinating Lipglass over.
VIVA GLAM Ariana Grande 2 Lipglass ($16.00 // Nordstrom). This lipglass is described as a neutral nude pink. There’s also some green shimmer in there and it looks really cool in the tube. No worries, your lips won’t pop green when you wear it, but they will look beautifully neutral, light mauve-toned. As with all MAC Lipglass shades there is a medium amount of a sticky feeling, which I don’t find to be uncomfortable but some people do making it worth mentioning. Wear time was around 2-3 hours if I didn’t eat or drink.

As much as this is shocking me to type out I’m loving this duo more than the original VIVA GLAM Ariana Grande set! What about you?
