If you’re into mixing up your lipstick colors because customizing is what you’re good at then you’re going to need both of the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palettes in your life. Particularly if you don’t want to buy all of these shades separately.
Two palettes will be released in the Holiday 2016 Collection and both palettes are housed in a metallic gunmetal case accented with gold. When you open it up there’s a huge mirror and a hinged cover that states “lipstick is my vice”. When you open up the cover you’ll see 12 lip colors sitting in their own individual “well” designed with a special stair-step effect that is perfect for wiping excess lipstick off of the brush. This also keeps the lipstick inside the compartment instead of all over the palette, which I can appreciate because my biggest pet peeve with lip palettes is how the shades mix and get everywhere, eventually looking gross. In addition to the 12 lip colors you’ll also get a small lip brush.
Urban Decay Blackmail Vice Lipstick Palette will be available at ULTA Beauty, select Macy’s stores and urbandecay.com. The 12 shades are:
- Sheer Shame // berry, sheer
- Firebird // deep fuchsia, cream
- Big Bang // bright pink sparkle, metallized
- Disobedient // medium pink, cream
- EZ // bright red-orange, cream
- 714 // bright red, mega matte
- Vanished // pale neutral nude, sheer
- 1993 // medium brown, comfort matte
- Ex-Girlfriend // nude-rose with pink shimmer, sheer shimmer
- Amulet // metallic brick rose, metallized
- Conspiracy // plum-bronze shimmer, metallized
- Blackmail // deep berry wine, comfort matte
Urban Decay Junkie Vice Lipstick Palette will be available exclusively at Sephora. The 12 shades are:
- Disturbed // deep brick red, comfort matte
- 714 // bright red, mega matte
- Carnal // medium warm nude, comfort matte
- Safe Word // neutral nude pink, comfort matte
- Studded // metallic gray-brown, metallized
- Whip // soft pink with gold iridescent shimmer, sheer shimmer
- Wrath // metallic red, metallized
- Big Bang // bright pink sparkle, metallized
- Firebird // deep fuchsia, cream
- Vanity Kills // lavender, mega matte
- Speedball // deep vibrant purple, cream
- Junkie // metallic green shimmer with gold micro-sparkle, metallized
To access the lip brush you simply slide the top down and a small door opens on top which enables the brush to push out. It’s a fun, practical little gadget and perfect for the palette.
I found the formulas to be on track with the Vice Lipsticks I’ve tried in full size form (which don’t match up 100% shade wise but I’ve tried all the different formulas themselves) and I love the idea of so many shades in one place. It makes everything very handy for travel, if you’re doing makeup or just like to mix and match your shades to customize things. I’m a very vocal non-lover of lip palettes in general but this one doesn’t seem to get as messy as the other ones and as far as that goes the layout and packaging make this a real winner. 714, Big Bag & Firebird are the only shades that repeat in both palettes.
Are you more Blackmail or more Junkie? Even though it has a bit more wild of a color palette I think I’m Team Junkie!
The Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palettes retail for $35.00 each. Blackmail is available at ULTA Beauty, select Macy’s stores and urbandecay.com while Junkie is available exclusively at Sephora.

It appears that Firebird & Big Bang are included in both palettes, along with 714. That being said, I purchased the “Blackmail” palette from Ulta and I LOVE it! All the colors are wearable on their own and mix well with each other, and the brush is actually pretty good. In fact, I originally decided to buy this palette just for the lip brush (I’ve been looking for a good quality compact one), figuring I’d just palm the palette off on one of my friends or little cousins; however, when I swatched the colors in the store I decided to keep it. Once I started using it, I knew it was a winner, am planning to buy another one because it’s that much of a great value.
Now I’m off to throw away all my other lipsticks, with the exception of a few Buxom glosses (my go-to/ED lip product) that I can’t live without.

Thank you! I updated the post <3 These palettes are really fabulous! I'm impressed with the brush, too. The palettes are the stars of the Holiday line!

I tend to hate lip palettes too, but this seems so much better than your average. I love the little brush!

These look great but I ususally don’t like lip palettes. I may make an exception for UD though!

Wow this looks amazing! So glad I came across your blog through Bloglovin. I’ve never applied lipstick from a palette before but now I’ve read this I’m obsessed! I love the look of both of them if I’m honest. Great post xo

The price is pretty amazing for so many shades, plus a brush! AND the palette isn’t getting messy for me at all. Which makes it a love for me more than anything else lol.
