Who knew you could own a day?! Huda Beauty has officially made July 29th National Lipstick Day and it’ll also be the day she launches her newest lip product, Liquid Matte. I’ve never tried anything from Huda Beauty, but this product is said to be “revolutionary” … so maybe I’ll give it a peek 😉

In honor of this now official “holiday” I want to share with you a bunch of lip products that I’ve tried out this Summer that I’ve been loving. Some aren’t Lipsticks per se but neither is a liquid matte (technically).
Lancome Juicy Shaker Bi-Phase Lip Oil($21.00 // Nordstrom). A cocktail for your lips. Of course I’m on board. There are a ton of shades in the Juicy Shaker line, but for the most part they’re all going to come off the same on your lips. Some will have a bit more pigmented than others to leave a nice tint (like Wonder Melon) but really this product is just a nourishing oil to add shine. Shake and pop on your lips – the cushion applicator is perfect for applying all over without a heavy feel. I chose Wonder Melon for the tint, Mint To Be because I love the color/it helps boost teeth whiteness and Boom Meringue for the scent because YUM. Yes, these are all subtly scented but light and LOVELY.
Lipstick Queen Lipstick($25.00 // Nordstrom). Color changing lipstick. If I wouldn’t have seen a YouTube video on these shades I never in a million years would have bought them. Frog Prince is Green but when I wear it my lips turn the most gorgeous shade of berry and it also leaves a slight stain behind. Hello Sailor is Blue but gives my lips a subtle mauve tone, almost a deepening of my natural lip pigment. These shades will look slightly different on everyone due to natural lip coloring and pH levels, but they’re gorgeous and very moisturizing.

MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm*($20.00 // Nordstrom). I’m so happy for the Tendertalk Lip Balms now being in a tube! I’m not a potted lip product fan by any means but I did like the formula of the original Tendertalk balms. Application is easy with these sheer-to-semisheer lip products. Smooth, moisturizing… exactly what I want and need out of my makeup life.

IT Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Balm*($20.00 // ULTA Beauty). I am a big fan of IT Cosmetics but what you might not know is one of the very first products I fell in love with was the Je Ne Sais Quoi Vitality Lip Flush. Recently they released the lip balm and it’s just as wonderful and does the same as the Lip Flush, but it’s in a rounded shape. This was first released in a set featured on QVC, but I hope we see the single available soon!
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick*($17.00 // Sephora). UD covers all the bases with their #LipstickIsMyVice launch. Just in Wende’s Ten Top Picks I found 6 LOVES. How is that even possible?! Swatches here.
Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Plumping Gloss*($14.00 // ULTA Beauty). I don’t use the term “ride or die” lightly, but this gloss is something I refuse to run out of. Slightly tingly, moisturizing and even plumps a bit. Swatches here.

Estée Edit Cocobalm*($22.00 // Sephora). Since I first tried this balm it’s been a Summer staple. The Cocobalms are moisturizing, slightly tinted and have a subtle coconut fragrance. That scent always screams Summer to me and the rounded packaging makes them handy to keep in your bag or even your car. Original review here.

Too Faced Melted Metal($21.00 // Sephora). These babies were around before any of the other brands decided metallic lips should be in. My shades of choice are Melted Metallic Peony (metallic dusty rose, shimmer finish) and Melted Metallic Debutante (metallic apricot rose, shimmer finish) mostly because I thought they’d be the perfect fit if I needed a Summer metallic lip. I love how the Melted lip colors stay on decently, have nice pigment and basically just POP!
Jouer Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick($18.00 // Nordstrom). Because I was so happy with my metallic Summer lips I wanted to get a more neutral tone to wear in the Fall. The praise has been high for the Jouer Liquid Lipsticks and I settled on buying Praline which is a pretty pink champagne metallic. It’s still metallic but not overdone.
Nudestix Skin Glossing Pencil*($24.00 // Sephora). Nudestix products are known for multi-tasking and this particular one is great for highlighting as well as wearing on the lips. It’s sheer and lightweight but perfect for toting along to touch-up your entire face.
Anastasia Liquid Lipstick($20.00 // ULTA Beauty). These liquid lipsticks stay on SO well and Crush is my latest purchase. A beautiful, neutral mauve for Fall – perfect for day or night wear. When you put the Nudestix pencil over-top it’ll gloss it up which looks amazing with a smokey eye.

Covergirl Katy Kat Matte Lipstick($8.99 // ULTA Beauty). It’s been a struggle to not go out and buy every single one of these. They have a nice, even pigment and feel comfortable on. My faves are shown below and swatches are here.

Sleek MakeUP Lip VIP Lipstick*($8.49 // Sleek MakeUP). Great, bold Summer selection with super pigment. These mattes are comfy to wear, last well and are a wee bit cheaper than the Covergirl mattes!

Of course as I was writing this up I thought of even more I love from other brands, but I think you get the idea 😉
