Who has time to learn all of these hair tutorials?! Sure, they look gorgeous, but I need an easy out when it comes to styling. Any products that can get me out the door and looking presentable are always going to be my top choices.
My style of choice as of late is a messy bun. But did you ever notice when people go around wearing a messy bun they look really cute and have 35,000 steps as to how to get that cute top knot?! Not happening with me. I don’t have the time to full on dry my hair, straighten my hair, then curl my hair with three different curling irons and then carefully pull that stylized sleekness up into a neat bun only to pull out pieces and muss it up. For real, though, wtf is the point?!
Here’s what I do. First step, wash that mop. My crown is oil city so if it’s dirty you’re going to know it’s dirty. I scrub my hair with Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Shampoo and then condition with Suave Sea Mineral Sea Infusion Conditioner. Once out of the shower I towel dry by squeezing excess water out of the ends and then I brush through. After that I pin down the flyaways I have on either side of my head and then let my hair air dry.
Once it’s mostly dry I flip my head upside down and use TRESemme Extra Hold Hairspray on all that hair on the underside by the nape of the neck. I brush it through while my hair is still flipped over and then gather it all onto the top of my head in a high ponytail. I smooth out things if needed and then secure the hair “messy bun style” pulling it tight. I finish off with a bit more hair spray and DONE.
This style using these type of products makes my life easier and TBH the dang bun looks just the same when I’m finished.
