Regardless of how wearable it is we’ve all thought about doing that full face highlighter only challenge. There are so many different colors of highlighter out there that it shouldn’t be too hard to find a shade that would work well for your eyes, face and lips. The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder has several products in their line that will help you achieve that full face of highlight in the most subtle, fresh-faced way possible.
Beam Team Hydrate + Glow ($42.00 // Sephora). Skin prep! All skin types can use this as a lightweight, daily moisturizer that subtly illuminates – leaving behind a soft, golden-beige glow. I’m oily in my t-zone but still found Beam Team to be wearable for me when I’m not going for a completely matte look. Apply the moisturizer all over the face and then use the cream highlighter in the cap to accent your cupids bow, brow bone and bridge of the nose with even more glow. Note there is a slight fragrance of coconut and bergamot but I didn’t find it to be strong or overpowering. Unfortunately only one shade is available and it’s described as a light to medium shimmering beige.
Flash Illuminator ($28.00 // Sephora). Add color! This non-sticky formula will take strobing your face to a whole other level. Use shade 01 Spotlight (pearly white) for a soft-focus highlight, 04 Day Light (a rosy hue) for a pretty blush of color on your cheeks (or your lips, if you’re doing that full face thing) and then use shades like 03 Sunlight (warm terracotta) and 05 Nightlight (bronzy glow) to bronze/contour/shade (or as a shadow, if need be… we are going full face, after all!). There is also another shade not shown here, 02 Morning Light (golden glow) which would work well for highlighting or a golden wash of color. A little bit goes a LONG way.
Flash Illuminator Fluid Powder ($32.00 // Sephora). Game, SET, match! There is only one shade of this powder available in the shade Heat (golden-peach). For the full face highlight it’s perfect for setting the look but if you’re just into a regular glow then dust this lightly (because pigmented) over cheekbones or anywhere you like to feature. The formula is a half cream half powder that is pearlized, highly pigmented and gorgeous.
The products are swatches below on bare skin (no primers):
