Front row, runway ready beauty this month from MAC! The Fashion Pack Collection promises to be “ready to wear, any way we dare!” – filled with beautiful neutrals, poppin’ brights and lovely jewel tones!
She’s A Model Eyeshadow x 9 Palette ($32.00 // Nordstrom). Fresh Blade (pale frosted yellow, veluxe pearl); Gilded Lids (bright yellow with pearl, satin); Sample Sized (dirty golden olive, frost); She’s a Model (blackened teal with pearl, veluxe pearl); Big Attitude (dirty grey, frost); Not Basic Black (charcoal brown with pearl, velvet); Fab Accent (soft nude, matte); Cool Complement (dirty mid-tone neutral, matte); Dance in the Dark (deep cool brown, matte).
I half love and half loathe this palette. The color selection couldn’t be better (mostly neutral with a few fun shades) but a few of the colors are incredibly dry and tough to use such as Dance in the Dark, Not Basic Black and She’s a Model (which also stains a bit). The rest of the shades are wonderful and work well. The palette is usable, but you are going to have to really make sure you’re using the right brushes for the firm ones (like a MAC 239) and really pack it on, or layer it over another shade to smooth it out a bit.
Below the colors are swatched dry and on bare skin (no primer):
One other Eyeshadow x 9 Palette is available in Runway Worthy where the colors are pink & purple toned.
Lipstick ($17.00 // Nordstrom). Four shades are released in By Special Order (deep reddened fuchsia, amplified); Aim for Gorgeous (bright fuchsia, matte) Stylist’s Tip (deep violet, amplified) and Pressed & Ready (soft whitened nude, lustre).
The shade shown in this post is Pressed & Ready. With this shade being a Lustre formula you’re not going to get a ton of pigmentation but it is comfortable to wear and works with a ton of gloss shades. This one has been fun to layer with and will work year round.
Studio Nail Lacquer ($12.00 // Nordstrom). Two shades are released in Like My Gown? which is a dirty reddish purple creme and Style Matters (shown) which is a metallic golden green frost. Style Matters is a beautiful emerald, shimmery shade. It was fully opaque in two coats, almost one!

I love the look of the eyeshadow palette as you said mostly neutrals with a few fun colours. Its such a shame some of them are dry, I have never found that with mac!
I love the lipstick shade, I love the lustre lipsticks for everyday wear

I rarely like the Velvet texture from them =( Mattes are hit or miss, but usually better as singles. I’m glad you like!
