This past May at The Makeup Show one of the items I was the most excited about getting in my press bag at Blogger Preview Night was the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara($23.00 // Sephora). So excited, in fact, that I’ve been using it almost daily for the past month!
Some of my blogger friends had already had the chance to put this mascara to the test and every single one of them could only tell me positives. Being that the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 Mascara is one of my top 5 faves this was on my shopping list to buy at the show. Major bonus that it was gratis (which leaves room to buy more things)!
The spiky wand is generally not my favorite when I’m finding a new mascara of choice, but I’ve been wrong before (hello there, Benefit Roller Lash). I found that this wand was really perfect for separating my lashes, which insist on being criss-cross applesauce no matter what I do, as well as giving a wonderful lift that lasted throughout my day.
When I wear this mascara on my top lashes I don’t experience any flaking or migration, but if you use it on the bottom lash you may get a bit of mascara flecks late in the day. One coat gives a simple look for day but I found that two coats of Tarteist is my perfect day mascara. Three coats works best for me for evening and makes the lashes look a bit thicker while still giving off that fullness that I love.
Below is two coats of Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara (no primer or lash curler was used):
What is your favorite, new mascara?
The Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara retails for $23.00 and is available at Sephora, ULTA Beauty and tartecosmetics.com.
