The latest faves from BECCA Cosmetics aren’t all Jaclyn Hill! You can use the Backlight Targeted Colour Corrector ($30.00 // Sephora) to correct and the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation ($44.00 // Sephora) on top to perfect! Facial trickery at it’s finest!
The Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation is available in 9 shades, Light (light with neutral undertones) is shown. This foundation provides a “radiant” finish and is said to be light, buildable and weightless.
Now, my skin is super oily, so I was worried that this foundation wouldn’t play well with what I have to work with. I got it to work for me by applying a mattifying primer (focusing on my oiliest areas) and applying the foundation immediately as it was completely absorbed into my skin. For me, application worked best when I put the product on with my fingers and then buffed it in with a brush.
Wear time was only an hour or so before I was showing signs of oil but the coverage stayed well and blotting papers fixed all. This foundation is definitely best for dry skin, but if you have oily skin and aren’t into a matte all day finish you’d also like this.
The Backlight Targeted Colour Correctors are available in four shades – Pistachio (neutralizes redness for fair to medium skintones with red undertones), Violet (neutralizes dullness for light tan/olive skintones with yellow undertones), Papaya (neutralizes deep blues and greens for tan to deep bronze skintones with blue undertones) and Peach (neutralizes dark spots and hyperpigmentation for beige to deep bronze skintones) – Papaya and Peach are shown below.
The two shades that I tried are really creamy, with a slick feel. They apply and blend in easily with the finger. Each time I’ve worn these products the color correction lasted all day.
I played with all of these a bit on Snapchat (mini tutorial like) when they arrived and found the perfect way to use both the Papaya and Peach correctors to conceal the darkness around my eyes. Now, a serious reddened tone like Papaya is best for darker skin tones, but I found that putting this at the inner most part of my eye socket (where it’s really dark for me) and then putting the peach all over the undereye area (where it’s not as dark) made the area look the most even once the foundation was on top. It’s a really quick and easy way to make the undereyes appear flawless.
BECCA Cosmetics products are available at Sephora, ULTA Beauty and beccacosmetics.com.

I have the BECCA under eye corrector, it’s pretty good, along with other products. I’d love to pick up the orange and pair them, that might just be the thing that knocks down my dark circles for good. I’m also hot to try that foundation. I love dewy, hydrating stuff with light coverage, this may be something I would love.

I had Becca foundation years ago but my skin was oily at that point so it didn’t work for me. I think now that my skin is more dry and I have a mattifying primer I should test it again.

I’ve got a couple of samples of those colour correctors but I haven’t dared to try them out yet. I think I’ll try Papaya in the inner corner as you said.

The foundation sounds good for my super dry skin, but like many other brands, boy does that shade look yellow. I’ll take a look at the shade range next trip to Sephora/Ulta
