If you follow me on Snapchat this post will be a bit repetitive but at least the pics won’t disappear in 24 hours 😉 Before I saw Tati’s video on YouTube, I for real thought the PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish 003 ($72.00 // Sephora) highlighters were the actual sequins. Like how Guerlain Meteorites are the balls? I was thinking… the packaging is going to get messy for using those sequins but it’s so pretty. I’m so happy I saw that video because it prompted me to buy BOTH sets of Skin Fetish (Golden and Nude) because in the sea of sequins there’s not only a powder highlighter but a dual-sided cream highlighter and a brush!
First let’s talk about this packaging. It’s a beautiful mess but you can contain it easily. You have to order these online. Use the box they come in to dump the product out. Easy, peasey. I dumped mine on a photo backdrop so I folded the corners up on that to dump the sequins out with minimal fallout (and I used them for a few more product photos because the mix of the silver and gold was so gorgeous).
Inside the packaging you get a Shiny Stick Highlighter + Balm duo (0.26 oz.), 003 Pigment (0.14 oz.) and a Buffer 003 Brush. There is also a card inside describing the contents and how to use them – which is to “use without caution” <— LOVE that!
Pat McGrath Skinfetish 003 Nude
Nude technically isn’t nude… it’s much more “iridescent pink flash”. The Pigment (which is the powder highlighter) feels like spun silk when you touch it and gives an incredible amount of color when swatched. The best part? It’s not so over-the-top on the face but it’s still the fiercest highlight of all time. I layered this three times and it still wasn’t other level. As soft as the brush and pigment are you’re going to want to brush this all over your face for the entire day.
The Shiny Stick Highlighter + Balm duo that comes with the Nude shade is a dual ended stick with a champagne highlighter on one side and a clear balm on the other. The balm side is fabulous for really making the pigment adhere to the skin and make it a little more dewy and wearable. If you’re looking for subtle, this is what you’ll add first.
On the flip side, if you add the champagne highlighter you’ll get a much bigger impact of the pigment which is still dewy, but more glowing.
The brush is a slimmer stippling brush that is really soft and works well for applying the highlighter alone and also applying/blending out the cream color.

Pat McGrath Skinfetish 003 Golden
Golden is a regal white gold shade that feels and applies the same as the Nude, just catered to more warm-toned individuals. If you haven’t yet, you MUST check out this Instagram pic… the gold… I just have no words.
The Shiny Stick Highlighter + Balm duo that comes with the Golden shade is a dual ended stick with a true gold highlighter on one side and a clear balm on the other. The balm side is fabulous for really making the pigment adhere to the skin and make it a little more dewy and wearable. If you’re looking for subtle, this is what you’ll add first.
On the flip side, if you add the gold highlighter you’ll get a much bigger impact of the pigment which is still dewy, but more glowing.
You’ll also get the same brush as shown with Nude.

Here are the two swatched side-by-side (which is basically Heaven but on my arm):
I did also compare these on Instagram (click here) to the Urban Decay highlighters from Summer 2016 as well as gave some more pics of the Pigments (click here). Make sure to follow on Instagram and Snapchat to get all the sneak peeks before they hit the blog!
The fact that you’re not only getting the Pigment (powder highlighter) but also a dual-sided highlighter/balm and a brush makes the price tag a lot easier to swallow. That being said, what shade would you love to own?
Pat McGrath Skinfetish 003 are $72.00 each and they’re available at Sephora. These shades are both limited edition.

You’re going to make me buy the nude one aren’t you? lol
YAAAAS! BECAUSE YOU NEED BOTH!
These are so gorgeous but thankfully I find myself thinking they lean too strongly yellow and pink for me to like them. Phew!
