I love when it’s the OPI SoftShades 2016 Nail Polish ($10.00 // ULTA Beauty) release time of year. The light shades are always a refreshing sight with all of the brights that are starting to pop up for Summer and all of the vampy colors of the Fall and Winter seasons. This year the six shades are a rainbow of soft pastel colors inspired by the Spring 2016 runways.
All of the swatches below were done using OPI Nail Envy as a base, 2 coats of the nail polish and then the Milani Color Statement Top Coat.
It’s in the Clouds // I’m storing this creamy white in memory forever.

One Chic Chick // Just take a *peep* at this downy soft yellow.

Stop it I’m Blushing // A flattering flush of warm, baby peach.

This Cost Me a Mint // This cool, refreshing, pale green is so worth it.

It’s a Boy! // This baby blue is a true bundle of joy!

I Am What I Amethyst // Honestly, this light pale lilac is really me.

Each shade in this collection required three coats to be fully opaque and even, but I do love that you could do a new but still chic take on a french mani or even for a wedding. It’s a Boy! would be a perfect choice for your “something blue”!

These are really pretty! I always go for brights, but there are some times when a palate cleansing pastel is needed. I love the look of Amethyst. Such a pretty shade!

It’s A Boy! Is my favorite. I love soft shades for the nails. Lets you add color while still being subtle.
