Just when you think you’ve seen it all a cosmetics company goes and makes a mascara that bends. Yes, it bends. MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash Mascara ($22.00 // Nordstrom) is not like anything you’ve seen before, but is it better than all the rest?

What makes MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash Mascara different than all the rest is it’s flexible wand which is designed to be bent in any direction, including a 90 degree angle. The mascara brush is small making it easy to get every single lash including the tough-to-touch inner corners and small lower lashes. By bending the wand it will give you a “clear and unobstructed view” for application.

 

This mascara is available in just one shade, Twisted Black, and is said to be a “lightweight, flake-resistant formula (that) gives your lashes high-impact definition, volume, lift and curl”.

Below I’m wearing two coats of the mascara. My lashes always tend to want to hug it out and clump together but this one seemed to accentuate that more than usual. Besides that fact I found that it gave a good lift and curl that lasted all day long. If your lashes don’t tend to clump, or you want to spend some extra time with a lash separator then you might want to check it out.

The biggest con, I feel, of this mascara is that when you go to bend the wand you’re going to get mascara all over your fingers. It actually made it more difficult and time consuming to put on mascara. If the results would have been legendary, then that’s okay, but my favorite MAC mascara remains MAC False Lashes.
