Take a second to think about your favorite memory. Did the one that you thought of first involve scent? The one that just popped into my head was actually from this past weekend at The Makeup Show. A friend and I were walking around and smelled the most amazing fragrance. We were drawn to that particular booth because of the scent. I bought a brush from the booth I never would have noticed otherwise because of the scent.
Scents can draw you in, transport you, make you happy, comfort you… it really all depends on what memory is tied to that particular scent. This month, Walgreens wants you to “be your own beautiful” and think about what scents are tied to your favorite memories. The Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Lotion. I buy a big bottle of this one because my husband and son love it too. My husband in particular can really go through a lotion because his hands get very dry and this one is clinically proven to moisturize deeply to soothe dry skin with the first application and keep the skin healed for up to three weeks (proven after 4 weeks daily use in a clinical study). I have so many favorite scents that take me back some where…the smell of a new leather horse saddle to the calming smell of tanning lotions and coconut! Also I will never forget while I was pregnant I always wanted to smell new magazines and books lol!

So weird, because I was just thinking about this scrub my mom used to us – – it was an apricot one. I can’t remember who it was by, but for some reason I thought about how she always had it on hand and I would often use it myself to try to be like her when I was growing up. I should try to find it, I can already smell it thinking about it and it reminds me of her!

Such a hard question. Most of the scents that remind me of childhood are food. (what does that tell you about me?). I love anything that smells clean and crisp.
