Earlier this year I got the opportunity to drive my butt to Philadelphia with the hubs minus the kiddos (who doesn’t love that kind of road trip?!) to visit QVC Studios and be at IT Cosmetics first ever live taping! During this taping they were introducing two new products: the IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara ($24.00 // ULTA Beauty) – which I reviewed here – and the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Transforming Moisturizing Super Cream ($48.00 // ULTA Beauty).
Confidence in a Cream is the first “official” skincare product from IT Cosmetics. Why has it taken this brand so long to come out with skincare when normally that’s the first thing someone launches? Because when IT Cosmetics does something they do it right. Taking their time and working with plastic surgeons, IT Cosmetics has developed a quick-absorbing moisturizer that works with all skin-types, is paraben-free, hypoallergenic and non-irritating.
It’s recommended that you apply Confidence in a Cream to clean skin twice a day (morning and night) using upward sweeping motions. Why? Because you want to push your skin up not drag it down. Sagging is bad news! Don’t forget about your neck and chest… you don’t want to be that person in their golden years with the face of a 30 year old and the neck of a 60 year old. Trust. I also like to get that area where the face meets the ear. Recently I noticed wrinkles there on an older person and realized I never put moisturizer in that spot! AHHHH!
This moisturizer contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants and colloidal oatmeal to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while also improving skin texture. It’s also said that the collagen and hyaluronic acid will plump skin and instantly fill lines.
The packaging is in a jar, which a lot of people aren’t a fan of, but as long as you clean your hands before applying (which they likely are anyway since you just washed your face right?!) I think you’ll be safe 😉 . If not you can pick up disposable plastic “scoops” so that you don’t have to dip your fingers in the product… though, tbh, that stuff is made in factories and things… so how sanitary are the scoops?!
I found that this cream does in fact give a slight instant result. Over the course of 5 weeks of use I’ve noticed less wrinkles (particularly around the eye area where they had been popping up) and smoother, more supple skin. I feel like my makeup applies better also. It’s effective and lightweight, yet still incredibly moisturizing. I didn’t wake up with dry skin at all and there was no residue left sitting on the top of my skin. There is a slight, lemony fragrance to it that is amazing.
You can use this cream for more than just facial moisturizer – it can also double as your eye cream! Though, in terms of good skincare, the pricing is moderate it helps to know you’ll be able to use this for more than just your face and that a very little goes a long way.
IT Cosmetics is truly amazing. I love that they spend TIME on the products and aren’t just pumping them out to keep up. Their research really shows in the product performance. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
You can buy IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream online now at ULTA Beauty and in-store this weekend beginning March 13!
I was able to begin testing out Confidence in a Cream about 5 weeks ago (if you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram you saw most of these pics go up live) during the first ever IT Cosmetics Live Event at QVC Studios. The hubs and I drove across the state to be a part of the audience and experience the latest of IT Cosmetics first hand. And, of course, meet Jamie Kern & the IT Cosmetics PR team! Below are a few of the photos from the event (just in case you missed out on my social media posts!).
The hubs and I goofing off with some props:

…and then I met Jamie Kern! She’s FABULOUS and I hope to be able to meet her again some day and hang out for a bit!

Why does the cream leave my skin oily?
Brooke says
A little goes a long way! If you find it’s making your skin feel too oily try to lessen the amount you’re using and massage it in more. HTH!

After looking after the ingredients this doesn’t seem like all that great a cream. Love their CC Cream though 🙂

Sounds good minus the collagen, unless they have a special delivery system it’s too big a molecule to penetrate. Taking collagen internally is a much better option!
