Since I knew of it’s existence I’ve been wanting Essie Starry Starry Night Nail Polish. Of course, by the time I knew it existed it was already going for major $$$ on eBay. Not happening. If you follow me on Snapchat you may have seen my journey to find the Essie Retro Revival Nail Polish Collection… in particular Starry Starry Night … with a happy ending. I found THREE at the last stop of the day – so I bought all of them. One for me and two to give away!
Starry Starry Night ($8.50 // Nordstrom) is a deep blue, navy jelly polish saturated with silver glitter. The original appears to have a finer glitter to it. In the new version they sink more… it still looks like a night sky, just one with less stars. IMO the new one is beautiful but it’s not the complete stunner that the original was (see a comparison on All Lacquered Up). *You can also purchase SSN in a 4 pack of mini nail polishes for $17.00 at Nordstrom.
Sequin Sash ($8.50 // Nordstrom) is a semi-sheer nude with a dusting of silver glitter. I found this nail polish at my first stop and thought it looked pretty in the bottle. It’s basically what SSN OG was then but nude and right now. I love wearing this with 3 coats as a quick, work-safe (but fun) mani.
Below I’m wearing one coat of Sequin Sash and then two coats of Starry Starry Night on top of 2/3 of the nail.

It’s hard to choose as my taste changes over the course of year, but I liked Jumpin Junkanoo. It sounds as if people who bought the original SSN will be disappointed by this re-issue, however I never had the original so would love to try this one.

I’d say the original SSN is my fave, but I don’t have it. 🙁 I love Find Me An Oasis right now. Clam Bake is one I use the most often, though- it’s that perfect orange-red almost jelly polish.

I don’t have a favourite, because i like them all — i am generally very indecisive so it is difficult for me to choose a colour at the best of times…sometimes i just have to go for it!

When i think of Essie, the first color that goes on my mind is Mint Candy Apple.
I’ve never actually used this nail polish brand, so I do not have a favorite.

I absolutely love Essie nail polish – it is the one nail polish that lasts the longest on my nails. Even though I buy a ton of different colors, the one I buy the most is the periwinkle blue.
