Nexxus® Therappe Shampoo & Humectress Conditioner Review

January 2, 2016

*Post sponsored by Lunchbox. Opinions are 100% my own.

Just when I think I have a handle on the so-called “simple things” like skin and hair the weather changes when I least expect it to (like… why was I grilling out in 70 degree weather mid-December in PA?!). To see if I could combat both the oily scalp and dry ends I tried out some new products – the Nexxus® Therappe Shampoo & Humectress Conditioner.

Nexxus Caviar Complex Humectress Therappe SHampoo COnditioner

Even though my scalp is incredibly oily, I do have a dryness to the rest of my hair. Nexxus® Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner is best for dry to very dry hair but I found that it didn’t intensify the oil already pouring out of my scalp. Beyond that, this shampoo and conditioner duo still worked at repairing the dry areas, leaving my hair with a shiny, healthy finish that smelled heavenly and looked radiant.

Nexxus Therappe Rebalancing Shampoo

Nexxus® Therappe Shampoo is your first step. This rebalancing shampoo will cleanse your strands while keeping them nourished. ALL of the Nexxus® shampoos are silicone free, gentle and help to reduce breakage.

Nexxus Humectress Restoring Conditioner

Nexxus® Humectress Conditioner is step two for locking in nourishment and restoring. This product is different in that you press it into your strands while damp and leave on for 3 minutes. Nexxus® conditioners are targeted and condition only where necessary so your hair won’t look or feel weighed down.

Nexxus® has been around since 1979 in salons and their shampoo and conditioners are designed to work together. In 2015 Nexxus® reformulated their product lines to offer even more nourishment. While Therappe & Humectress is their most popular wash and care line you can check out the others (eight total!) to find something to best suit your hair type.

Visit Nexxus at Sam’s Club to check out a few of my hair care tips and read reviews from people who have purchased these products!

My hair and skin changed every single time I had a kid. Which was twice, but I get it lol With my first my seasonal allergies even went away! Then with my second they came back =\ probably should have had a third and tried to get rid of those again!

Ugh, the oily-scalp-dry-hair situation is the worst. Why can’t the two balance each other out instead of giving us bad hair days?

RIGHT?! How the heck doesn’t that happen?! If I put oil on my ends it travels up to my scalp so why doesn’t the oil in my scalp travel to my ends and just make my head even and not just a saturated mess?! lol Redken Diamond Oil is the only thing I can’t put on my ends that works and doesn’t travel to the crown =( but at least there’s something out there for us oily headed dry end gals lol

I tried these through Influenster and loved the smell of the conditioner! I wish the shampoo smelled the same, but the coconut scent was great too.

This sounds like a great duo, but I can’t do sulphates. The conditioner though, I might need to try!

I wish they didn’t use sulphates. I have small bottles of the Humectress that I’m still tempted to try.
