When it comes to makeup collectors lovers in general I think we can all be a little indecisive. Most days I personally go for a neutral eye look. But sometimes I like to flip it and add in a fun color… blue… mint… maybe even duochrome! It’s easier than ever to change up your eye look with the butter LONDON Shadow Clutch Palette ($39.00 // ULTA Beauty).
In addition to being small-ish, sturdy and with an included mirror and brush the butter London Shadow Clutch also has a very special feature. You can swap out the eye shadow shades. All are removable or interchangeable.
The packaging itself is simply black cardboard with gold lettering on the front and the shade break down/ingredients on the back. When you open the top of the box there’s a quick how-to on changing out the eyeshadow shades.
Two butter London Shadow Clutch Palettes are available now in Pretty Proper and Natural Charm, which is the palette featured in this post. Natural Charm contains six eyeshadow shades – Linen (matte ivory), Citrine (metallic pinky cream), Quartz (metallic golden bronze), Camel (matte espresso), Leather (matte dark brown) and Camo (metallic khaki). Natural Charm is perfect if you’re warm toned while Pretty Proper will be better for cool tones.
I have no complaints about any of the eye shadows in this palette, or the Wardrobe Duos that I was able to test out. All were creamy and easy to work with (yes, even the matte shades!) and I experienced no fall out or creasing (when worn over primer).
Four butter London Shadow Clutch Wardrobe Duos ($15.00 // ULTA Beauty) are available in Sassy Pants, Up All Night and the two featured in this post – Fancy Flutter (metallic light gold/brown & green duochrome) and Moody Blues (icy mint/blue metallic).

To change out the shades grip the sides and pop up the top piece (it raises like a bar on an amusement park ride) and slide the shades out that you want to switch. Slide in the ones you want, mix em around… whatever floats your boat. Snap the bar back in place and you’re done.
The swatches below are done on dry with no primers:
In the eye look below I used Urban Decay Primer Potion for a base and applied Citrine all over the lid and through the crease. Quartz is applied all over the lid and through the crease except for at the inner corners with Leather lightly at the outer V and Camel (lightly) to blend out the crease. Linen was used to highlight and Quartz is under the lower lash line. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Stag was used as an eye liner and Benefit Roller Lash is the mascara.
What shades would you want in your palette?
The butter London Shadow Clutch Palette retails for $39.00 each and the Wardrobe Duos retail for $15.00 each. Both are available at ULTA Beauty and butterlondon.com.
