When one of your favorite beauty brands develops a pro palette to place your makeups in you rejoice a little. I’ve never depotted NARS products, though you can, but I’ve often thought about how much easier and accessible the products would be if I could keep them all together in one space. Particularly for travel or for in my kit. This month, exclusively on NARScosmetics.com and NARS Boutiques, NARS finally released their Pro Palette in small and large sizes.
The small size (shown in this post) retails for $14.00 while the large size retails for $18.00. The dimensions of the small Pro Palette are approximately 7in. L x 5.5in. W x 0.5in. H. The interior has a welled magnetic basin for housing blushes, shadows… any pans (the NARS ones are already magnetized for you and attach to the palette securely). The palette itself is extremely durable and is almost entirely black in color with just the white NARS writing on the front as well as the interior lid.
The product formula on the pans is the same as those in the regular packaging. I have or have had a few of these shades in the past in regular form and have found that the pans perform just as flawlessly. The shade selection on the shadows is on the small side, but I’m hoping that changes in the future because I want to order a lot more and also the large palette! Because this is addicting!!
Face Products. Currently NARS has several face products available. I stuck to grabbing up just one bronzer ($27.00 each) and five blushes ($21.00 each). The Bronzer I picked up is Casino (A diffused deep brown powder with golden shimmer) and the blushes are Amour (Peachy pink ), Luster (Sheer golden apricot ), Torrid (Warm coral with golden shimmer ), Sin (Berry tone with gold shimmer ) and Lovejoy (Shimmering bronzed rose).
Face product refill shades currently available are: Bronzer ($27.00 each) – Laguna, Casino; Pressed Powder ($25.00 each) – Beach, Mountain, Flesh, Desert; Contour Blush ($30.00 each) – Paloma, Olympia; Highlighting Blush ($21.00 each) – Albatross, New Order, Miss Liberty; Blush ($21.00 each) – Mata Hari, Lovejoy, Sin, Sex Appeal, Luster, Gaiety, Dolce Vita, Angelika, Torrid, Taj Mahal, Amour, Exhibit A, Orgasm, Super Orgasm, Desire, Deep Throat, Seduction, Outlaw.
Duo Eyeshadows. For Duo Eyeshadow ($18.00 each) I picked up three in All About Eve (Flesh-toned neutrals / One with shimmer), Kalahari (Gold confection / Sugared cocoa ) and Cordura (Shimmering warm rich brown / Shimmering sooty dark brown). I really liked that each shade was in a separate pan. It makes it easier to maneuver them and set them how you’d like them, rather than having to keep them as a set. Not all NARS Duo Eyeshadows contain 2 shades that work easily together, this way you can make the set you need for your kit that day rather than hauling them all.
Duo Eyeshadow refills are currently available in Alhambra, All About Eve, Bellissima, Sugar Land, Kalahari, Cordura, Isolde, Pandora, Kauai, Silk Road, Kuala Lumpur, Madrague, Rated R, Mad Mad World and Bouthan.
Single Eyeshadows. The Single Eyeshadow shades ($18.00 each) I picked are Night Star (Sheer peach shadow with pearls), Goldfinger (24 karat shimmer), Persia (Paprika), Ashes to Ashes (Shimmery violet based brown) and Mekong (Expresso infused with gold).
Single Eyeshadow refills are currently available in Abyssinia, New York, Night Star, Nepal, Daphne, Goldfinger, Outremer, Bali, Persia, Blondie, Fathom, Ashes to Ashes, Sophia, Biarritz, Mekong, Bengali, Kamchatka, Night Porter, Coconut Grove and Galapagos.

I have so many Nars singles and duos and they take up so much room. I need these palettes but first I need to practice depotting so I won’t waste my money. I’d get so much more use out of the shadows if I could see them together like this.

I don’t have the patience to depot, but it would be nice to have all my NARS in one place.

You built a beautiful palette. Buying palettes and pans to fill could become a very fun and dangerously expensive little game.
