Time and again I’ve mentioned that I never had to battle acne until I was an adult. Specifically when I had kids. Change in hormones… stress… any and everything could have caused it. Eventually I got it under control. Now I’m hitting mid-30’s (are you kidding me?!) and I’m still wanting to use skincare that will keep my skin free of breakouts but also help me on the anti-aging front. Murad always seems to be in my head and they were one of the brands that originally helped get my adult, cystic acne under control. The brand releasing products that combine batting both acne and anti-aging has me doing fictitious one-handed cartwheels all over the neighborhood.
Note: It doesn’t matter if you’re (almost) mid-30’s like me. These products are still wonderful for treating acne. If you don’t have fine lines or wrinkles yet know it’s best to be preventative. I don’t have a huge issues with wrinkles right now, but I really wish someone would have told me in my early 20’s to get on the skin care train.
Murad Time Release Acne Cleanser ($32.00 // Sephora). This cleanser is gentle yet removes all traces of dirt and makeup from my face. It contains sustained-release salicylic acid, mino acids and hyaluronic acid which will help clear skin, keep it clear and also restore a youthful appearance.
Murad Advanced Acne & Wrinkle Reducer ($44.00 // Sephora). This is perfect if you’re like me and get the hormonal breakouts. Mine generally happen on my chin and jaw area. Big or small it’s something I’m very self-conscious about. Application of this products will treat and reduce hormonal breakouts as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Murad Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 PA+++ ($48.00 // Sephora). This moisturizer was developed with adult acne prone skin in mine and was designed with an Oil Control Complex® to keep pores clear. I’m so oily, particularly in my t-zone with a focus on my forehead. I need all of the oil control that I can get! As an important, added bonus this moisturizer is formulated with MuraSol, an “advanced level of sun damage defense that helps to preserve a glowing, youthful-looking complexion”.
Until Murad released this new line of Anti-Aging Acne Skincare products I’d been doing a lot of steps in my nightly skincare routine that took a lot of time. I’m beat tired at night and sometimes I just don’t want to spend 15-20 minutes on a skincare routine – the products below are what I like to use on my lazy days… which are most days.
What products do you wish Murad would add to their Anti-Aging Acne line?
Murad products can be purchased at Sephora, Ulta and Murad.com.

I might look into the serum. I’d like my husband to take better care of his face but he’s very against using products.
