You know how everyone goes all holy grail crazy over the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch? Prepare yourself, because all of those feels are about to hit you again when you try out two new products from YSL – the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer ($52.00 // Sephora) and the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Perfector ($55.00 // Sephora).
The box packaging is the standard gold with black print, but the inside of the box… the packaging on the products… is a little fancier.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer ($52.00 // Sephora). I want to talk about the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer first because of that gold that you see laced all through it.
The bottle is clear with black print and a gold cap. When you unscrew the cap there is a paddle applicator, though I used my fingers to apply. On the Sephora website it appears to be a spray bottle which is what I’d prefer to have for application. I’d absolutely repurchase this and probably will buy the one on the website before I even run out of the bottle I have here.
I found that this product primed my face well for foundation and the rest of my makeup. It didn’t leave behind a greasy residue or have heavy, lingering feeling. The size shown in this post (0.33 fl. oz) is smaller than what is for sale on the website (1.0 oz) so don’t be put off on the price point vs. the amount of product you get. You need very little to coat your face – the swatch on my hand (shown below) was probably double what I actually needed.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Perfector ($55.00 // Sephora). The YSL Touche Eclat Blur Perfector is literally perfect. It’s mattifying to all of my problematic oily areas, blurs out all imperfections and does well at hiding my pores (which I’m always very self conscious of). The luxe casing is pink with gold accents and the compact form makes it easy to toss in your makeup bag to travel around with. I’ll repurchase as long as it’s around and cry if it ever leaves. Not kidding.
Will you take the splurge and check out these new products from YSL?
Yves Saint Laurent can be purchased at Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and yslbeautyus.com.

That looks absolutely wonderful. There is something about gold packaging that gets me excited every time! 🙂
Aaah I’ve been dying to try the primer! But I’m gonna have to wait until my finances get a bit better again I’m afraid…

This packaging is to die for! I need to get my hands on both of these asap!
NIce!!! That primer reminds me, consistency wise, of the NYX gold flaky one I have! Is it thick?

Not at all! It’s not super runny either. Those pics where I was holding up the wand didn’t happen quickly and not ONE drop/drip fell from it. The consistency is perfect!
Oooooooo. Me likey. Me want.

Right?! ME TOO!
These sound like perfection. Here’s my age old question though – what about fragrance? I love my TE and I’d love these if they weren’t fragranced.

You know I didn’t notice any fragrance while applying either. I just now went and stuck my nose right up in both and the Perfector has nothing while the Primer has something slight, but I think it’s just from the ingredients… I can’t describe it. It’s not nasty but it’s not floral.. it’s like a blank fragrance that’s there. But I didn’t smell it at all when applying, just when I had my nose in at the bottle lol So you’re probably good!
Sigh, these are gorgeous, of course! I never tried any of the other YSL products but I’ve been getting into “blurring” products lately, so I’m curious enough to give this a go!

I got home one day and this box was at my door. I had taken the quiz and never heard back so I assumed I wasn’t getting it. I am in love with these so far. I am 2 days in, but I really like them! Love the gold flecks in the primer!

I think these two products are absolutely gorgeous. I haven’t had a chance to try them out yet. How did you use the perfecter – on top of your foundation??
Allison recently posted..Brush On Block Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30
I used it bare on my face and was impressed with how mattifying it was, though I have melasma so I scream for actual coverage lol I also used it over foundation and it was orgasmic. I will never ever be without these and if they discontinue them imma find me the headquarters and likely end up arrested. Do they use YSL in jail?
