Who needs to “strobe” when you can have dewy, flushed cheeks on-the-go? Pür Minerals Chateau Cheek Stain ($26.00 // ULTA Beauty) is the latest way to glow naturally and is easy enough to apply in the car (while as a passenger, of course) as it is at your vanity. Four shades are currently available and I have two to share with you today in Peach Bellini (apricot) and Prosecco (pink rose).
These cheek stains are packaged in thick plastic tubes where the exterior color coordinates up with the interior product color. One side is the cheek stain and on the other side is a small blending brush making this product wonderfully travel and purse friendly.
The best way to use this product is by applying the Cheek Stain color side directly to the apples of the cheeks. Next use the brush side to blend outward. The color is buildable so you can add more product as needed. Formula wise the stain applied like a gel and feels cooling. The blending brush is the best way to evenly distribute the color because it does so quickly and evenly. These particular cheek stains wear all day on me until I wash it off in the evening.
The only con I have with these is on the side of the brush. The brush itself is fine and does the job – the problem lies in the cap. It fits the brush, which isn’t a good thing. Why? It’s crushing the bristles on the brush side. Every time you cap the brush, no matter how you maneuver it, you’re smashing bristles. Eventually it’ll destroy the brush, but by that time you might be ready for a re-purchase anyway. In the photo at the middle of this post you can see how the bristles are starting to splay away from the rest of the bunch.
What shades do you think you’ll be needing in the Pür Minerals Chateau Cheek Stains line?
Pür Minerals Chateau Cheek Stains retail for $26.00 each and can be purchased at ULTA Beauty and purminerals.com.

I feel like I’d end up just blending with my fingers, but I love the idea!

Such a pain about the brush- but aside from that, this looks like a pretty solid product!

These blush colors look so dewy and pigmented! I like that there is s brush on the end, but they should have put a slider to protect the brush so you can get the cap on.

I’d have loved that!
Thank for the review and swatches. I’ve had my eye on these the last few weeks. I wish there was a way to get around the cap problem. What a shame!!!
Hopefully they’ll re-do the packaging! The brush itself works very well!
I like cheek sticks for blush, and I love those shades. But in seeing these previously, I’ve wondered if the brush is necessary? I use cheek sticks all the time and I love blending them with my fingers so the brush seems like an unnecessary expense and adding to the size of the tube to me. But then, that’s just me.

Fingers work okay, but this brush is on point for the blending. Super fast, completely even.
I notice that too with the brush but never gave it much thought. I love the way the brush blends the blush so I’ll forgive it.

It does an excellent job of blending! My OCD doesn’t allow me to forget the brush/cap fit LOL! I sit there over and over again… every time… trying to fit the cap on without bending the brush. Sigh.
They should have made the brush retractable somehow, but the shades look stunning! I love the ease of use!

That would have been perfect!
Those are pretty blushes but packaging fail! They should have added a little pop up shield to protect the brush as you cap it. They sure are pretty, tho…

I am so sad about the brush end. It blends the cheek product perfectly! Cap fail =(
I’m not usually into cheek stains, but I love the colors, and love that they come with brushes to buff them out! Sounds like they need to tweak the packaging a bit though!

Eeep why didn’t they put in a bigger cap? The brush makes these perfect for travel. Peach Bellini is so pretty!
