Usually when I pack for the pool I have to worry about what I’m bringing for my kids. Because who wants to be at the pool all settled in and you forgot the goggles… or the juice boxes, or the snacks, or the hair ties, or the toys…. the list of stuff to bring to the pool for kids is endless. The whining that they only want the exact thing that you forgot is even more endless. SOON, when I head to Las Vegas, I’ll be at a pool with no bambinos! For five days! What does an adult even take to the pool?!
Here are a few things I’ll be tossing into my un-Mom pool bag:
SPF (obv). Just because the kids aren’t around is no excuse to forget about that!
Lotion. It doesn’t matter if it’s Summer, Winter or whatever in between. At the pool, in your house… every where… you absolutely need to keep your skin hydrated. You’ve seen plenty of times before how obsessed I am with St. Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion. Two of the scents I’m recently using are the St. Ives® Naturally Indulgent Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract Fresh Hydration Lotion & NEW St. Ives® Smooth & Glow Apricot Spray Lotion. It feels and smells great and it’s so fast and convenient to just spray the lotion on, smooth it in and it absorbs quickly so you can just go. The St. Ives® Smooth & Glow Apricot Spray Lotion is the latest fragrance to hit and it’s filled with natural moisturizers and fragrance notes of freesia, apricot, nectarine and passion fruit.
Sunglasses. I’m never without those anyway, but a bright, sassy pair is definitely in order.
Food. Adult food! Not juice or gummies! I spend a lot of time just finishing what my kids don’t so I’m excited to be able to carry around the snacks I love… and to be able to have all of it myself!
Scarf. Because for kids scarves are about keeping warm.. for adults scarves are about fashion. Imma tie this one around my head to keep random hairs off of my face.
In addition there will definitely be biggggg bottles of water, Lip Balm with SPF… magazines or any type of mindless reads that I don’t have to think… I’m also known to play some Sudoku or Crosswords at the pool. It’s relaxing and SO ADULT =D
Did I leave anything out? When you go adulting at the pool what do you pack?
