Nora Ross Garlic Shampoo & Conditioner Review

June 17, 2015

*This post is sponsored by Nora Ross via the Mom It Forward Blogger Network. All stories and opinions are my own opinions and experiences.

Thousands of years ago humans used garlic as a way to repel vampires. So I’ve heard. As the years went on garlic began to be used more traditionally, most notably to flavor up your food. In present life we now know it’s got all of these health benefits. And not just for your bod and skin. Over 25 years ago Nora Ross Inc. introduced the Original Garlic Hair Treatment to give your strands the benefits of garlic as well.

Nora Ross Garlic Shampoo Conditioner Review

Fear not, my pretties! The company researched and talked to a few vampires (you didn’t hear that from me) to develop a hair care line that utilizes odorless organic Garlic oil and Garlic extracts – both of which have been documented to be beneficial both internally and externally. So what does this do for your hair? The ingredients impact the hair follicle to the point where it reaches it’s maximum activation potential (which means it minimizes hair loss and maximizes hair growth). While the company doesn’t claim that their products will regrow your hair client testimonials have stated otherwise, intriguing me even more! I’ll be excited to see if I have the same results after long-term use.

I tested out the Nora Ross Shampoo for oily hair and the Conditioner for all hair types. I found that the shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling clean and incredibly soft no matter if I heat styled or air dried. My hair looked and felt healthy and I’m happy to report does not smell like garlic in the least 😉 There is a slight fragrance but it’s hardly noticeable and it’s more floral than anything.

The Shine Treatment worked wonders for my ends (which tend to be dry no matter what time of the year it is or what I do to them styling wise) and had them looking healthy and on point with the rest of my hair. With these products combined styling my hair was a lot easier in that my hair was more cooperative.

Nora Ross Super Shine Splendid Luster Review

If you don’t have the same hair type as me you’re not out of luck! The Nora Ross product line works for a ton of different hair types ranging from thin and fine all the way up to coarse and curly.

What do you think? Would you pop a bit of garlic in your hair?

You can purchase Nora Ross products on the website. Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter for more info!

Ah… I immediately thought of Italian grinds which are my favorite food… but so long as I don’t smell like garlic, I’m good – these sound amazing.
