Who says you need to spend a ton of cash to get the ultimate smokey eye look? Hard Candy says save your money for the shoes because you can seriously smoke out your eyes for just $8.00 with the Hard Candy Smokey Eyes Smokey Eyeshadow Palette.
Housed in a light purple, travel-friendly tin container (which is also reusable) are 9 professionally coordinated smoked eye shadows, the Eyes the Limit Long Wear Eye Shadow Primer, a mini Take Me Out Liner in Soy and a dual ended eye shadow applicator. This palette also includes a small mirror at the interior and an instructional card with 3 start to finish smokey looks.
The nine eye shadow shades are Inhale, Ignite, Torched, Exhale, Ash, Charred, Fume, Smoked and On Fire. The shades favor cool toned gals and I found them all to be nicely pigmented (though a bit lighter on the eyes than when swatched) and easy to use/blend. There was a bit of fading after a full day of wear but for the most part the primer held the shades on well with very minor creasing. For the $8.00 I’d say it’s a major win for all you get and the quality of the products. Definitely a lot less expensive than brands who have similar products out there for 3-4 times as much.

In the look below I used the Eyes the Limit Long Wear Eye Shadow Primer as a base and applied Smoked all over the lid, Ignite in the crease and blended up, Fume at the inner corners and Exhale to highlight. The liner is COVERGIRL Intensify Me! Liquid Liner and the mascara is COVERGIRL The Supersizer.
In addition to Smokey Eyes there are two other palettes in Natural Eyes and Sassy Eyes. I think Natural is next for me. Which of the three eye shadow palettes would you choose?

I totally passed on this at Walmart the other day-I had no idea the swatches looked like this! They’ve really stepped up their game and I’m definitely going to have to snag one of these palettes!
