Before you even read this post know that you’re going to walk away and buy all of these. You’ve been warned. The new Urban Decay Afterglow Blush ($26.00 // Sephora) formula is that of dreams.
Twelve shades of Afterglow Blush have released within the Summer 2015 Collection and I have five of them to share with you today in Rapture, Obsessed, Fetish, Indecent and Bang.
The packaging is a square, heavy gunmetal compact with UD etched out so that a criss cross grate set at the inside shows through at the top. Inside is 0.23oz of product sans mirror, which doesn’t bother me because I generally don’t use a the mirror on a blush compact. This blush is said to boast 8-hours of light-weight, streak-free wear.
Rapture is described as a deep mauve with a hint of shimmer.
Obsessed is described as a light pink.
Fetish is described as a medium pink-nude.
Indecent is described as a light peachy nude.
Bang is described as a bright red-orange.
The formula is fantastical. Super smooth and pigmented I had no issues blending any of these out on my cheeks. The more in your face shades (like Bang and Obsession) obviously need to be applied with a lighter hand. The lighter shades (such as Indecent) are easier for daily wear but are buildable if you’d like a more intense color. As for the 8-hour wear my experience with these blushes went beyond that. I got a full 12 hours without any kind of fading (I didn’t go longer because I felt like a grease-ball and needed to wash my face). Few of these have shimmer, I believe only Rapture and Score, but even so it’s not overpowering on the face and still wears nicely without feeling like you’re overdone.
The swatches below are done dry with no primers underneath. I’m wearing Obsessed in this pic.
I am completely in LOVE with these blushes and see several more on the shopping horizon like Score, Video, Kinky and Crush. What Urban Decay Afterglow Blush are you most excited to pick up?? Tell me your fave(s) in the comments!
