With no less than one billion eye makeup removers out there I think it goes without saying that some are much better than others. Right now I have two favorites – one from the drugstore and one that that is a bit more expensive.
philosophy Just Release Me™ Dual-Phase Oil-Free Makeup Remover ($19.00 // Sephora). Just Release Me removes 99% of my daily eye makeup even when it’s a liquid liner or product that would normally be harder to remove. I found out after purchasing that it’s formulated with natural aloe, and chamomile and cucumber extracts so it’s got all that goodness in it plus it doesn’t irritate my eyes or fog up my contacts.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover* ($6.49 // Target). This is my fave liquid eye makeup remover from the drugstore. It’s gentle on my eyes and doesn’t irritate my contacts but it definitely removes most of my eye makeup easily and quickly.

Other makeup removers I’ve tried and loved:
MAC Gently Off Eye & Lip Makeup Remover ($21.00 // Nordstrom). This was my tried and true for years. I only stopped using it when I ran out and ended up grabbing the philosophy when I didn’t have a choice. In the long run it did end up working out, since the philosophy is a bit cheaper and works a bit better.
Tarte Fresh Eyes Maracuja Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Wipes ($12.00 // Sephora). I still pull these out when I’m wearing a heavy amount of eye makeup, particularly if the look includes a strong liquid liner and/or lashes. It’s a necessary first step in the removal process. (see pics and review here).
Chanel DÉMAQUILLANT YEUX INTENSE Gentle Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover ($34.00 // Nordstrom). This is so effective in removing my eye makeup quickly. I never wake up with any kind of mascara or liner remnants when I use this while taking off my makeup at night. But. SO pricey when it’s something I will use up quickly. When I buy my Chanel makeup they usually slick me up with a few samples of the eye makeup remover and I use them for travel or keep them in the shower since the smaller bottle takes up less space.
Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover ($29.00 // Nordstrom). Back when I first started using makeup (early teens!) this was what I used to take off my eye makeup. Even though I don’t buy the full sized bottle any more I always go out of my way to pick the samples when it’s GWP time!

I adore the Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover. I have a few Bifacil samples which I love, but it is so spendy that I haven’t splurged on the full-sized version.

I love the Lancome Bi-Facil remover, I just wish it wasn’t so pricey! I’ve tried the Neutrogena one, but I personally do not like it. It bothers my eyes too much. I just haven’t found one that I love more than the Lancome one. I’m trying the Sephora one right now (I’ve heard so many people like it), but I still got some mixed feelings. :/

I hated the Sephora one. It did nothing and made my contacts fog =( Have you tried the philosophy?
