Has your hair been bad lately or forever? Mine has been bad forever. It used to be thick and had all the frizz… so I’d wish it were thinner because I thought that would solve my frizz issues. Nope. With children came a thinning of the hair but the frizz remained. Luckily as I grew older I realized that there are hair products out there to use that can actually help. One set that I’ve been using lately is the Kerastase Discipline Collection.
The Kerastase Discipline Collection is a three-step line: (1) Bain Fluidealiste ($39.00) – which is the shampoo, (2) Fondant Fluidealiste ($42.00) – which is the conditioner and (3) Spray Fluidissime ($42.00) – which is an anti-frizz protection spray.
I found the line to be just okay. My hair was shiny but it definitely didn’t beat the frizz for 72 hours or really even the entire day… and it’s not even Summer yet. The fragrance is extremely perfumy (in the not-so-great floral way) and overpowering – which was the initial deal breaker for me before I even know that it wasn’t going to be great at keeping my frizz at bay. On the plus side it’s safe for color treated hair. For the cost I’d rather buy Living Proof no frizz which works better, costs less and doesn’t have the heavy fragrance attached to it.
Kerastase products are available on the website.

Great price & review, although I own far too many shampoos & conditioners already to justify another purchase! 🙂

I’ve tried these before and was also unimpressed. I’ve never been able to beat the frizz, which lasts year round for me. However, I’ve never tried living proof products, so perhaps I’ll give that a go.

The no frizz line from Living Proof is incredible. I’ve used it since it came out. My scalp gets oily so I start with the product at the roots and just apply a bit of the leftover to the crown. Works like a charm!
