It’s fierce out there this Spring and Milani is clearly intent on taking no prisoners at the drugstore. Fierce Foil releases surround us this season with the launch of the Fierce Foil Eyeshine Palettes & Eyeliners (shown here) and now the Fierce Foil Lip Glosses. Six shades are available and I have two to share with you today in Milan and Florence.
The packaging is the same of the regular lip glosses in a squared clear plastic tube and a gold cap. The applicator is one of my favorite types – sponge-tip and flat on both sides for easy application. The formula of the Milani Fierce Foil Lip Gloss is thick, but not uncomfortably so, AND, even better, these glosses smell of cupcakes!
Milan. Milan is a warm, brassy gold. Very pigmented and very sparkly. Think Goldmember in Austin Powers. It’s beautiful but I personally could not wear it alone. I’d layer it lightly with a deep lip color – really any shade would work.
Florence. Florence is a deep mulberry with fuchsia and gold shimmer. The pigment is wonderful and the shimmer within the gloss just makes the color shiny rather than sparkly. It leaves a small amount of stain behind which I personally like because I can just use something clear to refresh it if I’m in a situation where a total reapplication isn’t possible.
