For this weeks Top 10 Tuesday blushes are the focus. Cheek flushing is important for spring. The right amount of shimmer gives that glowy (not sweaty) look when the sun hits your cheeks just right. The right cream will last all day, even though the April showers. Below are, IMO, the best of the best for this season and are still currently available for purchase as of this blog post! (Your eyes are not deceiving you. There are in fact 11 blushes in the line-up below. The fact that I got that close to 10 is a major win for me).
ColourPop Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 // ColourPop). Of course I had to mention this first. The release of the ColorPop blushes broke the internet so hard that Kim Kardashian’s butt got jealous and fell off (not really but you get it). It was a challenge to not order every single one but the five that came home with me are swatched below – Holiday, Fox, Between the Sheets, Birthday Suit and Prenup. Not only are these blushes affordable but you won’t find any better in terms of pigment, blend-ability and wear. Tip: apply sparingly by dabbing on with fingers and blending out. Do the dab and blend repeat until you’re satisfied with the color.
Benefit Majorette ($28.00 // Sephora). I’m going to go ahead and admit that I picked this one up because I was a majorette. And also I love the vintage packaging. Imagine my utter glee when this blush became a staple! I love to apply this lightly on my cheeks and layer Rockateur on top.
PUR Minerals Chateau Cheeks Cream Blush* ($18.00 // ULTA). Super smooth and dewy, natural and glowy… isn’t this what we’re all looking for this Spring? Bonus: blends easier than anything ever and lasts all day! Any cream based mineral product that lasts on me is winner winner. The two shades shown below are Flirt and Coy.
Clinique Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette* ($32.00 // Nordstrom). Uber soft and blendable you can swirl these together or wear the shades separately for contour, highlight and cheek color. Four palettes are available and I have three swatched below for you in 01 Defining Nectars, 03 Defining Roses and 04 Defining Nudes.
IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Ombre Blush ($24.00 // IT Cosmetics). The shade is called Je Ne Sais Quoi and it’s a lovely three tone ombre ranging from dark-to-medium-to-light pink. It’s fantastic because you can apply with ease and even though the pigment is good it never seems to look over-done. See it here.
Milani Rose Powder Blush ($7.99 // CVS). Forget the fact that the design is completely beautiful. These blushes (yes, every single one ever released) are incredibly pigmented and beautiful on the skin. I have four and I need more. See it here.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush ($35.00 // Sephora). ALL of these were featured as my favorite blushes from Spring and Summer last year for Makeup Wars so how could I not talk about them here for Top 10 Tuesday? The Ambient Lighting Blushes give off a radiant glow, each with that perfect tint. If you’ve ever had a rough night and need your face to perk up any of these will do it. See it here.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blush ($40.00 // Nordstrom). The only shade I have is in First Love and I’m truly DYING to get more. I always put this blush in as many round-ups as I can. I love how soft it is and how beautiful it looks on. This particular shade goes with everything so I reach for it constantly. They’re on the pricey side, but if you get the chance to splurge you absolutely need to do it on one of these. See it here.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush ($26.00 // Sephora). ALL of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes are fantastic. Celebrated (shown) is the latest to launch with their Spring collection but I haven’t met one I didn’t like. No powder blush will last as long and still keep the same color like these ones do. See it here.
Gucci Sheer Blushing Powder ($49.00 // Neiman Marcus). The name is so misleading because there is nothing sheer or nude about this particular shade – Nude Freesia. It’s a pigmented mauve-rose with a slight glow that appears when you blend it out. It ends up looking like a natural, all-day flush.
Urban Decay Naked Flushed ($32.00 // Sephora). This is my 11th and had to mention honorable mention addition. The shade shown is Streak which is a warm trio of a matte bronzer, a shimmery peach highlighter and a bright coral blush. Awesome pigment and perfect for travel. I had to use this sparingly because I’m on the fair side and I feel like this is going to be a total go-to when tanning begins (PSA use SPF).

Great picks. The weather has just started warming up here so I haven’t really looked into what blush I’ll be wearing for spring. However, I’m into pinks, peaches, and orange tones.
