The Spring 2015 Guerlain Les Tendres Collection is the first time in awhile I’ve wanted to purchase from Guerlain. Not because I don’t love the brand but just because I wasn’t super excited about anything enough to buy their products over products from other brands like Chanel or Dior. I picked up a few items from this seasons collection mostly because I needed to get my hands on the Meteorites Perles de Blush and the other two just struck my fancy 😉
Meteorites Perles de Blush in Angelic Radiance ($53.00 // Nordstrom). I’ve held off purchasing Guerlain Meteorites (aka Ballz) for my entire makeup life. I love the scent of their cheek products… and the ballz are pretty… but I’m a clumsy girl. And rolling things stand no chance. BUT. When the Meteorites Perles de Blush launched and appeared to give a gorgeous pink color as well as have that beautiful cherub packaging… I lost all sanity and bought it. The product is beautiful. The color is even more so. The packaging design make my heart flutter… but oh is it cheap feeling. HUGE downfall for me, because I love packaging and expected it to be on level with the other Meteorites. Also, you don’t get much product at all. And that powder puff is a PAIN in the rear to get out. It’s really just poorly designed and it’s a shame because the product itself is wonderful. For the price, though… all around not worth it. This product is limited edition.
Kiss Kiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in 560 Rosy Silk ($37.00 // Nordstrom). Rosy Silk is a semi-sheer warm pink and it’s everything. I love the formula because it’s smooth and moisturizing. While it’s probably going to be too sheer for those with pigmented lips I love the color because it’s wearable on the daily. Because of the finish you only get like 2 hours of wear, but it’s smooth and easy to reapply. This product is limited edition and appears to be sold out where I’ve looked online for it, so definitely call ahead to check in store.
Ecrin 4 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in 504 Les Precieux ($65.00 // Nordstrom). Of the two palettes released Les Precieux is the one that caught my eye because of the olive shade and because it’s so wearable and classic looking. The bronzey shade is beautiful as well and the light pink and ivory make it angelic. Plus that design imprinted on the shadows is pretty 😉 you know how it goes. Anyway, the shades are smooth and buttery. Super easy to apply and they blend well, wear well. I heard some bad things about the formula on this one and I haven’t bought Guerlain in awhile, so I was definitely nervous that things had changed, but it was wonderful. A+ all around. This product is limited edition.
Below my picks from the Guerlain Spring 2015 Collection are swatched dry on bare skin:
In the look below I’m wearing Les Precieux on my eyes over UDPP. The bronze shade is all over the lid and through the crease, the light pink is in the inner corners and to blend out the crease, the ivory shade was used to highlight. I smudged the olive shade under the lower lash line. The eye liner is Marc Jacobs Ro(cocoa) Highliner-Gel Crayon and the mascara is Milani Total Lash Cover. Angelic Radiance is on my cheeks and Rosy Silk is on my lips.
If you’re interested in what I wear in terms of the other makeup it’s the products from IT Cosmetics mentioned here (but in the pic below I’m wearing the shade Light because the Medium in that post was much too dark for me). Brows are IT Cosmetics Your Brows But Better Brow Power Skinny Pencil and Anastasia Clear Brow Gel.
Did you pick up anything from Guerlain Spring 2015? LMK what you hauled or what you’re wanting to haul in the comments!
Guerlain Spring 2015 can be purchased at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.

Those blush perles have skyrocketed to the top of my favourites list.
The puff….I hate the puff (why no ribbon, Guerlain? why???) but I’m feeling like I must be the only person in the world (aside from whoever designed it, I’m assuming) who likes the cardboard box? I get why most people are let down by it (I’m paying what? for cardboard?) but I also got the impression that it’s supposed to feel dainty and petite, and ooze old world charm. It ticks all those boxes for me. I collect antique and vintage packaging of this exact sort for my vanity (they hold hairpins, stacks of eyeshadow singles, etc) so this feels right at home there. Like a delicate little treasure. And the perles (and quantity of them) are actually larger than I expected after reading all the “OMG these are tiny” reviews! I guess I was totally prepared for disappointment, but I’ve wound up being totally smitten instead, hahaha.
Sew or glue a ribbon on that puff and it will become infinitely easier to get out of the box. I am annoyed that I had to do this (they should have known better) but I’m not going to let a stupid puff keep me from the real treasure inside the box!

That puff was the worstttt lol I ended up using my tweezers to get it out.

I skipped the blush meteorites because of the cardboard packaging, totally a letdown. I like the meteorites compact ‘tho.

You know, compact form is more my thing… I’ll probably try that next time! I bought that lippie because of you 😉

That blush is gorgeous. It is so disappointing when a majorly luxe brand like this puts out shoddy packaging that detracts from enjoying and even using the product. What were they thinking.

YES =( Especially when that cupid and the design of the packaging is so girly and pretty. I could crush it with two fingers. You get less product than the regular ballz so it’d have been nice to see the extra $$$ put into special packaging that could be a keepsake of sorts.

That lipstick is perfect for Spring!

OMG that quad is to die for! All the colors I love. Totally drooling over the lipstick on you. I know what you mean about the packaging on the meteorites–cardboard for that price? I fell once, will not again.

Glad to see that you agree with the meteorites, I passed on them too because I felt like the ELF and the Forever 21 packaging held up better hehe. I think it’s beautiful but for the price, maybe something a little better. Those shadows tho 🙂

I expected the same packaging as the other Meteorites… at the very least. The design was gorgeous so it’s too bad it wasn’t on a better material of container.
