Before now I’ve stayed away from any sort of at-home gel type of mani. There is really no reason why other than the fact that I really don’t wear a full mani for more than a day so I haven’t been interested in trying them out or buying any. However, when OPI does something, I MUST TRY IT and I MUST HAVE IT.

Infinite Shine is a collection of 30 different shades of nail polish that is applied via a three-step system; first, apply Infinite Shine Primer (Step 1) to prevent staining and increase lacquer durability. Next, select one of the 30 shades (Step 2) and paint two thin, even coats for richly-pigmented, vivid color. Finally, finish with Infinite Shine Gloss (Step 3), which features a state-of-the-art gel polymer formula that cures in natural light. Product can be removed easily with Expert Touch Nail Lacquer Remover; no soaking is required.

As for wear if you follow me on Instagram you already know how that went. Day 1-3 brought no change (see Day 1 here). Still perfect, still shiny. Day 4 (see it here) showed minor tip wear. Day 5 (see it here) brought the end of the mani. This is the general wear time I get on all OPI polishes, sometimes even longer. It depends on the polish and how rough I am on my hands. The week of the “Raisin’ the Bar Trial” I was super rough because I did some heavy cleaning.

Some things I noticed: (1) Regardless of tip-wear and chipping, the mani stayed majorly shiny the entire time. (2) If you don’t wrap your tips the mani will not make it through Day 1. (3) The polishes and top coat dried fast. (4) Red tinted shades (Raisin’ the Bar and Unequivocally Crimson) had color transfer onto the Top Coat brush regardless of how long I waited for them to dry. IDK if that will ruin the top coat in the long run, but it’s important to note to you as a reader in case you’d be going from a light shade to a red shade and you aren’t interested in a color bleed or transfer.

Because I haven’t tried any of the other gel polishes I can’t compare the OPI to anything, but I generally get around a week on OPI and they don’t stay as glossy as the Infinite Shine shades, and shiny makes me happy. These are said to last 10 days and that wasn’t my experience, but I was impressed with the shine and how quickly they dried. Perhaps someone who is a little easier on their hands would have better luck… I know it’s bad but I don’t even wear gloves when I clean or wash dishes… etc. No judging, y’all 😉

      Grapely Admired was mine which was surprising because I almost ALWAYS pick a red or coral/pink shade lol though those are close seconds!

      Was it just on the red shades or all of them? Mine just did it with the 2 reds I got. I expected it on the blue also (because of the red transfer) but it didn’t happen.

      I think if you’re superrrrr careful you’d make it to 7 or 8. Once my kids are in college and I can relax… that’s the dream 😉

      IDK if you’re supposed to but I have lol I didn’t wear test to see if it would last as long as the OPI did, though. It was basically what was on my desk plus it was another blue shade and the OPI base keeps staining at bay.

    I was curious about this line, so this is a well timed review. While the colours are pretty, they are nothing I don’t already have and for the not so stellar wear, I’ll stick with regular polish.
