Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Swatches, Review + EOTD // Spring 2015

February 11, 2015

Press Sample/Affiliate Links

Urban Decay first launched the Moondust Eyeshadows in 2013 (press release). Back then seven shades were introduced and now we have four more to add to our collections! I’ll be sharing three with you today in Scorpio, Cosmic and Ether!

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow

Packaging wise these are in round pearl-silver colored containers that easily pop open but snap securely when you’re finished. These pans are able to be popped out and placed inside your favorite Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette ($10.00 // Sephora).

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Swatches Review

Scorpio // black matte w/ gold 3-D sparkle

Urban Decay Scorpio Eyeshadow Swatches

Cosmic // metallic white w/ iridescent 3-D sparkle and shift

Urban Decay Cosmic Eyeshadow Swatches

Ether // light purple with pink/blue 3-D sparkle and shift

Urban Decay Ether Eyeshadow Swatches

The Moondust Eyeshadows are super sparkly, give off a 3-D effect and can be worn wet or dry – wet will give a much more vivid and metallic effect. In both the swatches and eye look below I used these shades dry. If glitz isn’t your thing then you won’t be okay, but you will love the regular shadows (see a few of my faves here).

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Swatches

In the look below I started off using my Urban Decay Primer Potion and then applied Cosmic to the inner corners of each eye. Scorpio is all over the lid and into the crease with Cosmic blended into it on the lid and also above where it hits on the crease. Ether was used under the outer half of the lower lash line and blended with my finger. MAC Grain Eye Shadow was used to highlight. No liner was used on the top lid but on the bottom I used Urban Decay Stash 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and the mascara is Urban Decay Perversion.

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Eye Look

What Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow is your fave? I think I’m torn between Scorpio and Zodiac! <— My Zodiac sign is Scorpio. Coincidence?!

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows retail for $20.00 each and can be purchased at Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, Macy’s and urbandecay.com.

Like your eye look. The shades are pretty but you know… I find I never buy single UD shadows. I own one or two and then a few that came in a palette… but otherwise I always buy their palettes. I don’t know why I never look at the single shadows.

There are definitely a lot of similar ones to the shades in the palettes. Or exact shades lol I have a need to own all UD palettes regardless if I have the shades already or not lol

Ether and Scorpio are gorgeous! I’ve never owned UD single shadows, but I’m tempted to get a Z palette and pop these in.
