Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder Foundation, Concealer Swatches + Review // Spring 2015

February 3, 2015

Press Sample/Affiliate Links

Because they know their people love being Naked … Skin on their faces… you know what I mean… Urban Decay has new products for you to get naked with! Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation and Urban Decay Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer are the latest in Naked Skin products will have you covering up flaws (psh like you have those) but still giving the illusion of having nada on!

Urban Decay Naked Skin

Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation ($36.00 // Sephora). The foundation with the coverage you require but still keeping with the naked. This can be worn wet or dry. It’s a quick application when worn dry for an every day look but you can use the sponge and wear it wet if you just need a bit more. Coverage is buildable, semi-matte and not overdone.

Before we get into swatches can we just take a minute to talk about how I love the packaging? Not only does the interior of the packaging boast the purple floral motif but you also get a little matching purple floral satchel for your gunmetal colored foundation compact to live in. It’s the little things.

This foundation is available in 14 shades, 5 of which are swatched dry below.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder Foundation Swatches

Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28.00 // Sephora). This concealer is thick without being cakey. It’s got amazing, buildable coverage and blends beautifully into the skin with little effort and without settling into facial lines throughout the day. Available in eight shades.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer reviewUrban Decay Naked Skin Liquid Makeup Swatches

I’m wearing both the Powder Foundation (dry) and Liquid Makeup (only) on my face in this post. I was so impressed with the coverage. The products felt light when worn so it was unexpected (to me, anyway) to feel like I had flawless skin without also adding a liquid foundation in as a base. Particularly on days when I don’t want to wear a ton of makeup this concealer/powder duo will be perfect and on days when I want to be a little more made up I can use the concealer, apply the foundation wet and then just dust a bit of the UD Powder Foundation (dry) on top to set. Winning.

What is your go-to powder foundation and concealer?

Urban Decay can be purchased at Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, Macy’s and urbandecay.com.

I swatched these yesterday in Sephora and oh my, those powders feel like velvet! The concealer covered up a blue eye shadow swatch on my hand too! My only concern would be if it creases under my eyes since I have some wrinkles there. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I have a bit of creasing around my eyes and I didn’t have an issue! Just make sure you don’t use too much!

NEED! I am a wet-powder-compact-foundation-only person and the gorgeous compact sounds ideal for me. And I know I’ll dream about that packaging and that purple pouch tonight. As lust-inducing as Colin Firth with wet breeches in Pride and Prejudice.

The packaging on this is so pretty and I love the little purple floral bag… of course, I love me some purple. But overall – I love all the different foundation and concealers that UD is coming out with… if I used those products, I would certainly try them.

Without having them in front of me to compare (I’m MAC NC20 or NW20 even 25 depending on the product and if it’s liquid or powder) I would guess Medium Warm? I ended up being a little darker in the foundation than I imagined, though. So you might want to play in store first – particularly if you plan on using them wet.
