The Spring 2015 Tarte Tartelette Collection has arrived and there are so many good things – product wise and beyond! From the collection I have two products to share with you – the Amazonian Clay Matte Palette and Celebrated Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush. Also be sure to check out the Tarte website where they’re featuring “tartelettes” to represent each shade in the Matte Palette. As of this blog post only four have been revealed, so keep your eyes peeled for the remaining eight!
Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette ($44.00 // Sephora). This palette features 12 x 0.053 oz matte eyeshadow shades to take you from neutral, to purple to smokey all housed in in a sturdy gold palette that also has a full size mirror on the top half. The shades include Free Spirit (cream), Force Of Nature (nude), Dreamer (warm brown), Multi-Tasker (chocolate), Caregiver (pale pink), Natural Beauty (mauve), Best Friend (mulberry), Bombshell (dark plum), Super Mom (ivory), Wanderer (light brown), Power Player (taupe), Fashionista (black). You’ll also receive a small look guide in the box.
I was really impressed with all of the eye shadows in this palette. I didn’t find any of them to be hard to work with and none were lacking in the pigment department. I didn’t experience fall-out when applying and the shades blended nicely into each other. Below the shades are swatched dry with no primer.
Celebrated Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush ($26.00 // Sephora). Celebrated is a warm pink nude. Upon first look at this blush I did not think it would show up on me but once I swatched it I knew it would be perfect. When worn Celebrated is easy to apply and blend. True to the 12-hour claim this blush lasted all day long.
Swatched below with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Dual Liner (which is from Fall 2014, but I used it in the look below and never posted about it so I figured I’d at least swatch for you!).
In the look below I’m wearing // Eyes: UDPP (as a base). For eyeshadows I have Natural Beauty on the lid, Best Friend in the crease, Bombshell in the outer V, Caregiver at the inner corners & Super Mom to highlight and blend out the crease. Best Friend smudged under the lower lash line. For eyeliner I used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Dual Liner in Black on the top and Brown on the bottom. The mascara is Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes and eye brows are IT Cosmetics YBBB Brow Pencil // Face: IT Cosmetics Light CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream, IT Cosmetics Light CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Compact, IT Cosmetics Light CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder, Tarte Celebrated Blush // Lips: IT Cosmetics Love Blurred Lines Smooth Fill Lipstick.
