The theme for the January 2015 Beauty Box 5 is Hello!. Hi, there BB5! In this months box it’s a celebration of a new year, new challenges and fresh possibilities.

This month I got….
From Sally Hansen, Salon Effects. This is one of my favorite brands of nail appliques. They apply easily and last over a week. The set I got is 540 Sripe-Tease so the red and black stripes will work nicely for Valentine’s Day.
From Ultraflesh, The Gold Standard Mascara in Blackout. One coat did nothing, two coats made my lashes look decent enough to leave the house and feel like I tried. Three coats got a little sketchy. I think that if you already have lush and beautiful lashes that just maybe need a little oomph you will like this mascara. If you’re like me and need good lift and major volume then stick to your $5 Milani Total Lash Cover… oh, you don’t have that? Buy it.
From Coastal Scents, Eye Shadow. The colors sent are assorted from that super huge palette that Coastal Scents is known for. I got a lovely quad of smokey yet neutral shades – perfectly in line with what I love. Three of the shades were like butter but that deep gray (top left) was a little dry. Even so it applied well blended in with the other shades and worked well wet as a liner.
From Softsoap, Nutri Serums Vitamin E Body Wash. The little pearls inside contain Vitamin E for oh so soft skin. This smells really good and feels nice. Definitely perfect for travel so I’m tucking mine away until then!
From Garnier Fructis, Daily Care Fortifying Shampoo. I loveeee Garnier so I was very excited for this. However it’s a huge pet peeve of mine to get a shampoo without a coordinating conditioner. This smells SO good, though… I’m hoping to find it’s conditioner partner in the travel area of Walmart where you can find all those mini things. If I love the set I see full sizes in my future!
This months box was wonderful and definitely what I love to see in a monthly beauty subscription box with a nice mix of the skin care, hair care and makeup. The last two months had no color cosmetic products so it was really nice to see such a beautiful quad as well as the full sized set of Sally Hansen Salon Effects!

I was surprised to see the Sally Hansen nail strips in this box. I wish they would have sent something like NCLA.

This looks like a nice and simple box! First of all, love the packaging, love the aqua color theme, it’s very summery ^^ The products included also looks like they are gonna be quite useful, instead of random items you always get in usual beauty boxes that often go into waste! Love your swatches of the eye shadow, it looks pigmented, it’s very pretty x

Thank you! It’s definitely one of the better boxes for the money. So many new subscription services come out throughout the year that these ones that have been around awhile really need to be on their toes!
