This weeks Makeup Wars theme couldn’t have come on a better week. I don’t think I can remember a Christmas that was as busy as this one. I’ve had a sick kid in addition to all of the other chaos so wearing makeup hasn’t really been happening lately. When I do have a few spare moments to throw it on you can bet I’m not wearing anything fancy where I’m adding multiple colors and making sure my blending is on point. On days (weeks?!) like this I’m reaching for one eye shadow. Probably a nude. The best trio of one shadow shades is the IT Cosmetics Luxe High Performance Eyeshadow Trio in Pretty in Nudes ($24.00 // Ulta).
Pretty in Nudes is a trio of shades in a light pink, light peach and a light taupe. The finish isn’t exactly frosty (I hate to say that because it makes it sound unwearable) but has a luminosity to it that makes it seem like you not only wore an eyeshadow, but added a little somethin’-somethin’ to it so that it wasn’t flat and boring. The shadows apply with a great amount of pigment and are really smooth. The look will last all day over a primer.
In addition to being a trio of fabulous eye shadows the formula is also anti-aging as well as loaded up with skin-loving ingredients like Hydrolyzed Collagen, Acai, Green Tea and Vitamins A, C, & E and free of all of the bad ingredients that make eyes appear older like Talc (source).

When I’m in rush I’ll just put on a nice taupe shade and some mascara and run out the door! This trio looks like the perfect nude but better palette.
