It’s holiday time with Glossybox! The packaging of this month’s shipment was so beautiful and festive. All green and red and white… so Christmas-y and filled with items to keep you moisturized this winter and stand out with a glow!
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
Let’s check out the goodies inside the December 2014 GLOSSYBOX!
From Nuxe, Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute. This mask is super moisturizing for up to 24 hours and it smells really good (orange blossom). In addition to being hydrating it also calming to the skin with ingredients like plant milks and aloe vera sap.
From Rituals Cosmetics, Miracle Scrub in Ginseng & Ginkgo Biloba. This is to sooth dry, winter hands. Massage a small amount in a circular motion and rinse. As far as scrubs go it’s not too abrasive and while fragrant it’s very lovely and not overpowering in the least.
From Toni&Guy, Leave In Conditioner. Toni&Guy are one of my favorite hair care brands, so I’m always happy to see an item from them in a sub box. Leave In Conditioners can be heavy on my hair, so when I use a cream based one like this I stick to the ends like I do with oils.
From Bellapierre Cosmetics, Mineral Lipstick in Burlesque. Subscribers will like that the fuchsia is a change from the red shades they might be getting in other boxes, unless they’re like me and collect all the reds they see. I am a fan of the formula of Bellapierre Lipsticks and this one is no different – nicely pigmented and comfortable to wear.
From Ciate, Mini Paint Pot in All Aglow. This nail polish has a clear base but is saturated with gold and bronze glitters. Shown below is one coat over OPI Just Be-Claus and as you can see you get a nice amount of glitter on the nail.
The December shipment wasn’t my favorite month for this particular service. I’m really happy to see the lipstick from Bellapierre and the Ciate Nail Polish (which was my favorite part of the box). While the remaining three items were nice I’ve just come to expect to be incredibly impressed with what is usually in the Glossybox and this month I just felt okay. Was it still worth it? Yes. All of the products except the Ciate were full sized, so you’re getting your money’s worth for sure. These are also all products that I will happily use up, so I don’t feel like the monthly payment would be wasted on unused items.
With Glossybox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
