With it being so cold my skin has taken a turn for the flaky. Did we even have Fall? Anyway, my skin is sensitive to many things and it doesn’t react well when I exfoliate more than once a week. This weather has been so brutal that simple moisturizing creams just aren’t enough. I’ve definitely noticed that I’ve needed to exfoliate much more frequently as of late. Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is said to be a “gentle, daily use exfoliating powder for all skin conditions”. Sounds good to me!
As you unscrew the cap there are two good sized openings at the top, perfect for shaking out just the right amount of product. Drop around half of a teaspoon into wet hands and apply in a circular motion for one minute.
This product wasn’t abrasive in any way and has really made a difference in the condition of my skin. I no longer get the dry, flaky skin that crept up so quickly this season. My moisturizer absorbs better and holds longer. All of this in turn is making my makeup apply a lot easier and look nicer throughout the day. I use this about 4-5 times a week and haven’t had any reaction whatsoever. It’s absolutely a firm staple in my skincare routine for the winter and I’ll use it even in the warmer months, though likely not as much (since it isn’t needed as much when it’s not so cold and dry out). The full size is 2.6oz and a little bit of the powder goes a long way, so you’ll definitely get your use out of this.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant retails for $52.00 and can be purchased on the website.

I hear such great things about this stuff but I’m always worried it will cause my eczema to flare up.

Love this product! I am in love with it. And you speak the truth when you see it lets the moisturizer sink in. Well worth the price 🙂

I love exfoliating powders, and have made love for the one from TATCHA, but I want to try this one now because you make it sound so amazing!

I love this product, it is gentle enough to use everyday, and it’s not that expensive when you compare it with how much it lasts.

Siiiigh. I love Christmas time, but I hate what this weather does to my skin. I’m making a list of products, such as this, that would be helpful for sensitive, dry and flaky skin. I hope this helps get rid of all my flaky patches! Thank you 🙂

Love the Dermalogica Microfoliant! I have a pro size one and use it pretty much daily. I hardly ever break out and have smaller pores, it does work!

I loved the Amore Pacific version of a powdered exfoliator but it’s expensive. So is the Tatcha. This one is a bit more affordable I think.

I think the price is decent for as much as you get, so I totally agree with you!

I am about halfway through a bottle of this. I like how you can control how grainy it is buy how much water you add initially. I might need to increase how often I use it as I am dry and flaky too. Love your blog!!

This is the first one I’ve seen a noticeable difference with immediately without it being harsh. I used to use the Kate Somerville Sensitive ExfoliKate but could only get by with it once a week. The day after my skin was fine but the dry skin came back fast. I’m so happy this one from Dermalogica actually works and I can use it so often!
