The theme for the November 2014 ipsy Glam Bag is Girl Meets Glitter. Glitter is definitely alive and well in this month’s shipment, but thankfully not in all of the included products. A little glitter is always fine by me, but OD-ing on glitter is never okay.
This month the bag is silver glitter with pink trim. Definitely fitting with the theme, my 5 year old was all over it lol!
What’s inside?
From Marc Anthony, Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray. This hairspray offers a nice hold without drying out my hair. I like to use this to keep curls in place through the day while still keeping my hair looking soft and not crispy like some hairsprays do.
From Be a Bombshell Cosmetics, Eye Base in Submissive. This eye base works nicely as a sheer wash of color or as a base to amp up your eye shadow shade. I have to use a secondary primer with this or it creases, but the color is a warm yet brassy bronze… which is right in line with what I generally like.
From Temptu, S/B Highlighter. I’m not so crazy about these mini bottles, but I do love the product inside. This is an awesome cream highlighter that I actually wore this weekend for a wedding I was in. It goes on sheer and illuminates the face without a crazy disco ball effect. I patted on a very little bit of product just using my fingertips. Though this bottle is teeny tiny, it’ll last awhile.
From clariSEA, Sea Salt Solutions Instant Glow Powder Exfoliant. Beginning in powder form you just add a bit of your fave facial cleanser or water to “buff away impurities and dead skin sells”. The smell was not so great (not on a deal breaker level, though) and it felt slightly rough on my skin. My skin care be very sensitive, so because of the rough feeling I’m not a fan.
From Nicole by OPI, Guys & Galaxies Nail Polish. This shade is exclusive to ipsy. It has a clear base and a ton of holo glitter in different shapes and sizes. The formula was nice in that it wasn’t thick and one coat gave an excellent amount of glitter without having to maneuver anything. One coat is shown over OPI What’s Your Point-settia?.
This month I was much happier than last month thanks to…well everything but the face scrub. I definitely think it was worth even more than the $10 I paid.
Ipsy has profile pages, so here is mine. There is also a pretty amazing referral program in place. You refer friends and redeem points to get a sweet little bonus in your next bag. I’ve gotten some really fab full sized products as my bonuses, but, something new, you can use your points to choose your own bonus! I cashed in last November for a full size NYX Cosmetics Bronze Smokey Look Kit (see photos and swatches here).
Here is where you can go to subscribe to ipsy for a Glam Bag.
What do you think about the November Glam Bag? Are you going to subscribe for December? I’m always excited to see what they have in store!

This month’s bag is much better than the last couple of months – no tiny black eyeliner pencil or other teeny samples; some good brands in there. I love the NOPI polish you got.

I loved my bag this month. The Temptu was the surprise, and I absolutely adore it. I’ll buy more of it when the little bottle runs out. And the polish is so pretty…over red like you did!

This really looks like a winder! The cream eyeshadow and nail polish alone had me excited! I have never tried Ipsy, but now I am wondering if it is time!
