Charlotte Tilbury has certainly left her mark on the US market with her fantastic line of beauty products. Though the brand is more on the luxury side I personally can’t seem to get enough of them and keep buying up all the things, finding holy grail products abounds. The two items being reviewed today, Filmstar Bronze & Glow and First Love Cheek to Chic Blush, are no exception.
Of the two products I’m showing you today the packaging for Filmstar is a little more interesting in that it has a how-to stamped on the box before you get to the product (so no excuses on faulty application!).
Inside of those beautiful boxes of maroon and gold are coordinating compacts – the Filmstar is all golden with a sunburst pattern embossed on top and a snap closure while First Love Blush has a simple deep, glossy maroon case and a strike of gold down the center. Each one has a generously sized mirror at the interior.
First Love Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blush ($40.00, Nordstrom). The Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blushes have two shades, an outer, more shimmery shade and an inner core that is a matte, deeper, yet coordinating color. In the case of First Love the shades lean peachy nude and very neutral. I love the shades alone but blended together it’s the most gorgeous peachy nude shimmer for your cheeks. A huge positive (because I love a matte finish) for me is that even though there is shimmer all it does is add dimension rather than make your face look like a disco ball. I’m obsessed with this one… I kept applying it because it blended so well and was just so beautiful. I can totally see myself hitting pan on this one, which never happens for me.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight ($65.00, Nordstrom). It’s so hard to find a duo like this where both products are such a win. Let’s face it, all bronzing products and all highlighting products are not created equal. So, when you put two of them together and they work so beautifully in tandem… it’s just perfection. The sculpt side isn’t too dark and I found it to the be the perfect, natural sculptor for my skin tone (I’m NC20 in MAC right now aka Light) and the glow offers just a slight pop to the areas where you apply it. You’ll be able to work to build the bronzing shade up to the level you need. Though you’ll see shimmer in the pan and the swatches, like the blush, it doesn’t jump off of your face and look garish.
(L-R: Filmstar Bronze & Glow Bronzer & Highlighter; First Love Blush Outside, Inside, Blended)
These products are definitely expensive – though not as expensive as some other luxury brands. The formula on each is exquisite, applies naturally and is so easy to use. If you’re looking for perfection in your cheek/face products, this is definitely a route you can go. With the holiday’s coming up I’d advise you to fill your wishlist with a few items from Charlotte Tilbury!
(Above I’m wearing both Filmstar to contour and highlight and First Love on the apples of the cheeks. My lips are also Charlotte Tilbury and can be found here.)

I love the concept for that blush. I like how you can create a matte look or a matte look with shimmery highlight, or just a shimmery look – but no disco balls! lol

It’s a great warm bronzer and highlighter. Too warm for me I think. I’m kinda lemming all her blushes though. Even those that might not suit me because the sheen is just the right amount!
