MAC Holiday always holds a special place in my heart. The holiday releases always have beautiful packaging and a plethora of sets that I need to get my hands on. This year the holiday collection is entitled Heirloom Mix and channels sophistication and royalty within the products. The packaging is still black, but shiny rather than matte and laced with silver sparkles. While the collection is extensive I’m excited to share with you two items from the color line – Nostalgic Pressed Pigment and Amethyst Glitter.
Nostalgic Pressed Pigment ($21.00, Nordstrom). This is a great shade that you can use alone with just a black liner for the ultimate cat eye or at the inner corners of the eye to make a bold look really pop. I’m a fan of the pressed pigment formula because they look just as beautiful dry as they do wet, blend well and wear all day on me (over primer). Eight were released within the Heirloom Mix Collection and I definitely have my eye on a few more.
Amethyst Glitter ($23.00, Nordstrom). The glitters from MAC are nice because they add dimension to your look and adhere well when you apply, especially when using them with a mixing medium. My personal favorite way to use these are by applying a bit to a wet nail polish to add a little flair. Besides Amethyst you can also find Gold Glitter in this collection.
I think I need to pick up a few more pressed pigments (I’m eying Victorian Plum and Modern Majesty) as well as the Keepsakes Eyes in Plum. What are you lemming from MAC Holiday?
Purchase items from the MAC Heirloom Mix Collection now at Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and maccosmetics.com.
