Probably the most significant way my kids take after me is their love to dance. I’m not talking ballet, pointe or any of that fancy stuff. I’m talking about shaking booty, wiggling around, losing their minds type of dance. We like to let it all go in this house because it’s a great indoor exercise activity (exercise in disguise, if you will) and also the perfect way to unwind after a long day of work or school. One of the ways we get our dance on is by playing Just Dance on the Wii and now the 2015 version is available!
Just Dance 2015 is loaded up with the latest top 40 hits and also throwback tunes so everyone is happy with the selection. I generally let the kids each pick a song first then momma gets a turn. They dance to my music too, and I feel like I should record that because when they’re older they’re totally going to deny it. The new songs and choreography are fun and wacky, showing kids that it’s okay to be themselves and have fun.
Some of my favorite songs were You Spin Me Round (Like a Record), Holding Out for a Hero and Black Widow. My kids were more partial to Let it Go (well, my daughter way.. my son… not so much bahaha), The Fox, Maps and Bang Bang. The playlist runs 40 songs deep so it’s definitely not going to be hard to find your jam. No matter what the song was, my 5-year-old daughter wiped the floor with my son and I.
What is even cooler than a brand new Just Dance video game? The fact that they’ve (and by they I mean Ubisoft) partnered up with Stomp Out Bullying to bring awareness to National Bullying Prevention Month which will show people everywhere that “it’s okay to dance to your own beat!” Lord knows I do 😉

It was great exercise too! I was out of breath after 2 songs and dancing is my thing! You can challenge people that aren’t in your house and you know I can’t let them win 😉
